I am nearly certain that most ladies probably never considered this, as its such a minor issue, but also one that the ladies don't really have to deal with. Hopefully its taken as a simple suggestion, certainly not meant as a criticism, and it never has and never will be a factor in me deciding who to see.

Ok, flame away but this has been bugging me for a while from a practical perspective. Does anyone else find it a minor annoyance when a donation rate is set to $25 increments? I rarely use cash for much else other than this hobby, so I always hit up an ATM prior to a visit with a lady here. When a donation is, for example $225, it would be much more convenient for it to be $220, or $240. Sure, I could just give $240, but I prefer giving a tip for exceptional service or if I went over on time, not as a given because I was too lazy to make change. And for that matter, I feel equally cheap having to make change to throw in the $5 bill. I don't know why, but for some reason I feel better giving $240 if the donation is $235, rather than giving $240 when the donation is $225.

Yeah, I know, this is a stupid, silly, ridiculous post. And it's really not at all about the donation amount; maybe I just really hate $5 bills. So my request for the new year is for the providers out there to simply round up/down to the nearest $20 level for us ATM junkies.

Flame away!

I whole heartedly agree that this was a stupid and useless question.  I can't believe I wasted my time to read it, and could kick myself for wasting more time to write this stupid and useless response.  I can feel myself getting dumber for having read this (and I really can't afford to get much dumber.)  Now my head hurts!

What about the ladies that charge 250 or 550?? Oh no!! Are you really serious? Would it really make a difference if it were $25 or $50 increments? Is it that you the $15 tip would be to much? lol Does it really bother you that bad? If it were me, you could keep the $5 if it stressed you that bad.
You like to tip a little if you stay over? Ok now I have just about heard it all now! lol
Good luck with that baby ;)

I knew this would result in flames :) It's not about the money, as I stated, and it's not a huge deal, certainly never prevented me from seeing anyone. Just feels odd digging around for a $5 bill rather than just rounding off to a clean set of 20s. Guess I'm the only one :)

LOL! JK!

I don't know of any here, but when I was living in DC, Chase Bank ATM's dispensed fives and they were all over the place, even the grocery stores.

Seriously though, have you ever considered keeping a stash of fives? Break a 20 and you're good to go for at least three sessions :-)

Chase doesn’t dispense $5 bills in Atlanta. Only way to get $5 bills if you cash back from stores and ask for fives.

Some ATM’s do dispense $10 bills, not five.

Keeping a stack of $5’s is not practical for people like me who hardly keep any cash on hand. These days one can use Debit card everywhere and it is good watt to keep track of where you spend money.

God help us, the NWO has permeated the Hobby! Lol!

But I once had a donation of 200 paid in all 2 dollar bills. It was little strange..

Believe it is ploy to get more money. Since most ATM’s only spits out $20 bills, rounds up to +10 or +20 in most cases and to +5 in worst case.

Don’t believe tip matters up front or after. One time I thought, it mattered with agencies, found out otherwise.

You are right though, it is annoying and makes feel like someone is trying to one up on you or something.

apparently have no problem fitting their schedules to the providers', figuring out their travel time to arrive on time, etc., but are incapable of figuring out how to fit in 5 minutes to walk into a bank & get some change?  That's ludicrous!  And then somehow this twists into a conspiracy by providers to get tips?  Are you serious?
Simply pick your preferred poison, a few minutes inconvenience to get change, or decide up front to leave a tip.  And I would think this is not too hard a choice for an adult to make, then get on with your life!  Sheeese!

Are you familiar with or have seen Drive through ATM,s?

Last time I stepped inside bank was in 2009 to get a document notarized. Many people does not walk around with wads of money or stash bills under pillows. This is an age of Electronic Payments and when Smartphone Wallet’s becomes main stream, I would send payments electronically and the issue disappears.

the planning to set up and get to an appt., and the apparent unwillingness to include a 5 minute stop to get change.  As I said, if that's too inconvenient for you, either expect to overpay or not see someone who interests you for this silly reason.  And the conspiracy theory is beyond ludicrous.

And I am apparently more familiar with drive-thru ATMs than you are with the inside of a bank!

OP was simply asking opinion but you had to make it into a drama based on your myopic idea of how things work. Did I ever say anything about over paying or under paying?

was unneeded drama about a silly issue about an inconvenience for some lazy hobbyists who couldn't be bothered to get change to meet a provider's rate, but apparently COULD find a lot of time on this board to complain about it!  I didn't introduce mindless drama to this thread, the ENTIRE THREAD was mindless drama.  And now I'm sorry I wasted this much time with it.

A real pain for me.

If the date is scheduled ahead of time, I manage to get to a bank, but often it's impromptu and The amount of times I've scheduled on short notice and then had to scramble - I have multiple boxes of tic tacs from gas stations to break change.

I don't mind leaving a tip when service has been exceptional, but when you are $5 over the amount I would never ask for it back and a $5 tip is insulting - a no win for us guys,

Definitely a first-world problem to have, but it is a pet peeve.

Heck, I keep singles, fives, and tens handy at all times because when my kids ask me for cash if I give them a $20 I'm not likely to see change.  Also handy for tips to bellman, baggage handlers, cab drivers, etc.  Next time you are at the grocery store ask them to break a couple twenties and don't sweat the small stuff.

It is diverse, it is different, it makes people do different things. Some have kids, some don’t some keep 1’s, 5’s, 10’s, 20’s, 50’s and 100’s and some don’t

What is ridiculous is, thinking the whole world works how the world works for you.

they do that so you will leave a tip:-).. like everything at the store is 1.99 or 4.99 lol It may look like a lower price or something but honestly I used to do kwick for 75 and 9 times out of 10 people didnt have change so that is why i done it ..lol ..I dont do kwick anymore and all my rates are  rounded ummm down..

I would love a poll of how many gentleman prefer an even number in 20's or just an even number, i.e.$330. I am currently at a rate with a $25 increment and am always willing to accommodate to the wonderful gentlemen of Atlanta.

Wow, never expected such a simple issue would create a firestorm.

As I said previously, this $5 issue is an extremely minor one; if the world of hobbying is a 99.99 this might bump it to a 100 for me. I have seen many ladies, including Krystal with rates that aren't in increments of 20, and by no means would this prevent me from seeing amazing ladies such as Krystal again.

This was just a simple suggestion for the ladies to round up or down to the nearest 20 so its one less thing to worry about. And as I previously said, even when I have exact change, I just feel silly putting a $5 bill in an envelope with so many other 20s. It just seems out of place :) If your rate is 175, just bump it to 180 (or I'll probably do that anyway). If its 225, maybe consider changing it to 220 ( I would never short change a lady, so finding exact change would be important).

As for tipping, that's an entirely separate issue, but I agree that 5 or even $10 is probably insultingly low. If I gave extra due to a change issue, I don't consider that a tip.

I thought an adequate tip in the hobby was like 50-100 dollars. I'm fairly new to the hobby here in Atlanta, but I always thought it was just customary to automatically round up if you didn't have the exact amount.

As I stated in my post in this thread, I do not share your concern / issue (not sure concern is the right word.)  But you raised a point that was related to the hobby and expressed your opinion on the topic.  I think you got some good natured ribbing, some reasonable responsives and differing (and agreeing)  opinions - I don't consider that a firestorm.  And I don't think you should either.

I only mention since I noted how far back your reviews go and yet you don't seem to have that many posts on the board relative to that tenure.  Perhaps you typically use an alias or just don't post that much.  IDK, and none of my business - just giving one person's opinion that it would be nice to have more threads that related to Atlanta hobbying issues.
