......You'll have a much better time if you know the owners of the club or are familiar with a few couples.

I have been 3-4 times (there used to be another club in midtown). The first time I for "lucky" and some dude wanted me to pound his kind of cute wife. Hilarity ensued and I had like 5 people watching. Another time there were these 2 not attractive girls blowing a bunch of dudes. I didn't partake in that. The other couple of times that I've been have not been nearly as good. Single dudes are kind of looked down on. I think they mostly prefer other couples.

I've learned that if you go to a swingers club, hoping to get a little action..chances are very high that it will never happen.

You'll need to go more than a few times, make sure you become friends with some of the staff, be extremely.. EXTREMELY nice and expect absoutely nothing.  I spent two years being friends of swingers and understanding the lifestyle before I even got a chance to play around.

If you're new..just be extremely nice, and keep your hands to yourself.  It is the one place where the nice guys do finish ahead of the asses.  But it's going to take quite some time before anybody trusts you and you prove yourself as a decent single guy.

Most of the single guys I have seen at Trapeze were pretty creepy.  I remember playing in the group room one time with my date and a gf and my date had to tell a couple of the guys not to touch me.  For the most part single guys at Trapeze look like they could have been at the bar in Star Wars.  If you are a good looking, well mannered and well groomed you have a better chance of success.

That same night there was a really good looking couple, with a well hung male next to us and my date sent me over to take care of this delicious man which I willingly oblidged.

Thanks for all the responses. I really value eveyones opinions on this board. I really like to people watch but I do not want to be considered a "roach".  I think I will find me a nice friend to spend the evening with. Thank you all for your help.

I ventured out to a swingers club one evening a few years ago. It was down on Dutch Valley Road (not sure if it's still there). It was my first time and I was just curious not expecting anything due to me going alone. I bought a drink and sat in a chair off to the side taking it all in before walking around. One of the employees approached me to explain that I was being requested by a husband and wife in a certain room. I entered the room and the husband's wife had requested me. I ended up having a great time and we hooked up later outside the club. It's my experience that some things happen when you least expect them to happen.

swingers usually play with other couples and within there comfort zone... rarely does that include single men unless under special circumstances, in which case most everyone who tells you to hang around(minus the creep factor meaning dial it down and don't appear so eager.) are correct. just visit frequent and get to know some people and hope you are what they or she is looking for.
