Disclaimer: This is a serious/legit question that I have. This is NOT me complaining.

The question I have is, why are some "reputable" providers so hard to communicate with? Through my hobbying experience I noticed some providers are very spotty in communication. They will answer the initial email expressing interest but then don't reply back when the conversation moves to actually getting something set up, whether its providing references (references that will positively vouch for me) and a time and date. It's like communication stops at this point.

I know the common reply will be "well people are just busy sometimes". I personally kind of feel that is a weak answer to not replying back to emails over a span of a few weeks. I'm sure even if your life is busy a minute can go to writing back interested clients. Also I notice this happens every so often and it's not just a one off (for example someone goes out of town for a month).

Is it because sometimes providers have "enough" clients for the month so there's no need to schedule more. Even so, simple courtesy emails saying not seeing any new clients at the moment or no that date doesn't work for me how about *insert date*

So my point? What are some reasons why this abrupt stoppage of communication occurs. I want to be open minded and maybe understand the providers side rather then just thinking "o well she just sucks at getting back with people". A benefit of the doubt.

even though I'm obviously not a provider, the question is relevant to anyone in sales.

experienced providers have a well developed sense for who is serious about setting up a date, who's going to beat around the bush, and who might be enjoyable to continue chatting with even if it doesn't turn into a date. Some providers are fully occupied with direct requests for appointments from clients who have already been vetted, so there is no reason to carry on a conversation that you expect to lead nowhere in a business or social sense. If not fully vetted, I suspect that anyone who follows the process of providing references and requesting a specific appointment time will get a response if the provider is available. This is expected behavior from a rational provider. Not so much different than many other life situations. However, for those providers that are irrational, there is no explanation.

In short, when the hobbyist is ready to commit, then do it and you'll get a good response. Leave the chit chat for later

Scheduling Question

I have had this happen occasionally, the reason being after doing some research I found that a person was on a blacklist database somewhere and the previous ladies that they had met with didn't bother to screen them as well as I did or the previous ladies got past that information some way. If I personally know the ladies that vouched for him, this would open up other options for me to meet with that person.
Another situation, that's a possibility is that the provider may have a race policy that's unpublished. After some research on her part, she decided not to see someone. These are just a couple of ideas, you have mentioned another, some just suck at getting back with people. LOL

Good answer. I have noted this as well, although a good friend finally pointed out that it was more of my own doing than a lady's failure to respond. So I respond in hopes that others can learn from my mistakes. Not saying this is the issue with the OP or with anyone else, just sharing lessons learned.

In my case, I would contact ladies and write way too much crap (I know, big surprise, right?) I would express an interest, but by the time I got around to actually specifying the date/time, I wouldn't be surprised if she had stopped reading, retired, or died of old age.

Another pitfall I made was to say things like, "I can do X day at X time or Y day at Y time." While I thought it polite and respectful of her time, it apparently left it too vague for many ladies. Worse, it also left me thinking that I had just made myself the proverbial Tebow amongst her client options. Oddly enough, when I now ask for a specific date and time, and it does not work for the lady, many will offer an alternative.

I also have had a few ladies tell me they will NOT schedule via PM or email and only on the phone. Not sure I follow their reasoning on this given they will converse via PM or email, but there are thankfully a lot of things about ladies that I don't understand. For instance, I am still trying to figure out why some ladies that advertise here don't have PM as well but that is probably best for a different thread.

The simple solution is to move on. If enough hobbyists move on then behavior will change. All the complaining will not.

Easy solution

It always amazes me to read threads like this. Guy wants to make a purchase but the business doesn't treat you with courtesy or respect, doesn't appear to actually value your potential business, doesn't seem to respect your time. And yet, guys persist in allowing this behavior by continuing to persue the business despite the bad treatment. Doesn't even make good walking sense. When this happens to a guy, why on earth doesn't he just write that business off, never call them again, and select a business that treats their potential business the way they should? If more guys stood up for themselves, and basically didn't put up with this disrespectful sort of behavior, things would eventually change and those businesses who didn't get the message would simply shoot themselves in the foot.

I guess I should have clarified. I do stop contacting them if communication stops. It's just interesting how the providers last email shows interest with a statement like "when would you like to set something up" and then you respond with a suggested time and date and references (taking that initiative instead of waiting for them to ask for it because I've learn that is sometimes a providers pet peeve, and it shows that you are serious) and then nothing.

you send out one more "courtesy" email like "is there anything else you need from me" and once again nothing. That's when I stop.

But its just head scratching like "what happened?". Do you NOT want my money? It's like I'm contacting you and TRYING to give you my money, I WANT to give you my money lol.

So yea I agree way to many ladies out there to try THAT hard to give someone my money lol. Just move on.

But just wanted some insight from providers because I think the explanation of "well they got the pussy they can jerk you around (no pun intended) all they want and play games" or "some people just suck at communicating" as too simple of an explanation for it to happen every so often by reputable providers.
