Posting Delays

If I write  a post, it gets put up right away, no delay.  If I edit my own post, there is a delay before it's put up again.  What's up with that?

Also, sometimes if I try to edit my post, it won't let me.  Is that because someone has already responded to it?  I can't quite figure it out.

... if you are trusted enough to be unmoderated to start then we should be trusted to edit without moderator review; it would seem a waste of their time.  In my case I had forgotten to include the link to which I had referred in my post.

I believe the edit feature is only available for a short period of time after a post - so just add a post with the correction(s)

The Moderator posted a comment about edits about a week ago. The fact that it takes so long for an edited post to get re-posted is a product of the system. The Moderator has no control over it, and it has nothing to do with being moderated/unmoderated.

Mon Frere (spelling?)

The moderator does not review it but a team does & that step could be skipped for unmoderated members. In other words remove the SYSTEM constraints.  Easy to do by "Staff"

If you simply reply to your own post, it will be posted immediately, without effecting the original.
