Why think so much about it? It's just  a fuck board. Just go with the flow and enjoy your time.

So, I've been watching the various TER info about the "code of conduct" for use of the boards.  Haven't actually seen any changes written.  I recall that our past mods over the years implemented some unwritten rules which they felt were necessary for the board to meet their personal view for what was needed at the time.  One such rule involved a mod generated rule that said no one is allowed to post comments in the "theme" threads.  I think this was done about a year or so ago but prior to that time, it was common place for guys to make short posts about some post they liked.

Just curious, is a user of the board supposed to comply with the written rules as they now exist and assume that if there is no written rule, then it's ok?  I've pretty much stayed off the board lately because I just don't know what the rules are anymore.  I've seen a lot of "political correctness" brought into the picture and generally I suppose that's fine, but as for past moderator generated unwritten rules unique to each board, I just don't know.  Comments?

I believe the powers to be want the board run as they have said and by the rules that are posted. Enforcing the rules that are written and all the other personal feel good rules do not apply anymore. I have seen some replys to the theme threads. As long as everyone plays nice, they seem to let the posters set the theme.  IMHO
