Hi Guys,
I am in need of your opinion.
I'm thinking seriously about hiring an assistant.
She is a friend that I have known for many years and I trust her inexplicably.
my plan is to have her keep me organized and handle all the technicalities of setting up an appointment.
One that has been done, I will then speak to the gentleman myself.
I absolutely insist on a conversation before meeting you.
I can tell instantly if there is chemistry, which is the most important thing for me.
My question is, how do u boys feel about calling an independent and reaching her assistant first?
I would love as much feedback as possible.
Thanks so much.
Kisses,
Shawnie Kincaid

Hey sk, I haven't been in the game too long. I have dealt with a few assistants. No problem for me. As long as you trust them, and the end result let's me see you. And as long as you are happy with the results, I say go for it. Let them deal with all the stress. As for me, it wouldn't turn me away. I still would like to speak to you before meeting also. Just my..02. Good luck.

An assistant certainly isn't a deal breaker for me, but I would prefer not to have to deal with one if possible.  Somehow it makes the whole experience less personal, and more like a service.

I have to agree with tps7c. I've delt with both personal and assitant. I like the experience to be as personal as possible. The suggestion you made about letting assistant set up appointments and then you personally contact client would be a good hybrid system. Haven't encountered one of those yet.

I've experienced the "hybrid" system.  To actually set up the appointment you email the assistant, however we (the provider and I) conversate via other means.  It's cool.  When it comes to setting up an appointment then I mean at the end of the day it is a business.  As much fun as the provider and I have I kind of like that quick check of reality (reminding me that this is a delicate and discreet game that we play, with boundaries).  However I wouldn't go for a provider where I could never actually speak to her.  I rather not discuss the details of our get togethers with Oz behind the curtain.

From a guy's perspective, no idea how much time scheduling, screening, responding to verification requests, etc. takes.  That would seem to be the pain-in-the-butt part of the business and the assistant could really help if she's good.

From the guy's scheduling perspective, I like a telephone conversation as you do.  However, I never spoke with several of my favorite ladies until I walked through the door.  I'm not free to do telephone at random times, so that flavors my opinion.  I find it very handy to have an always-there assistant, rather than to leave a number and not know when to expect the call-back.  So for clients like me they are great.  I also have good luck with email - when it works.  Pet peeve is email-only ladies who don't respond at all.  Same would be true for VM-only ladies, but haven't experienced that yet.

The assistant should do two things:  Make your life easier.  Be responsive to the client.  If either of those is something you need to improve on, then you should go for it!

The assistant MUST ONLY handle the screening and schedule and NEVER pose as the provider in email or on the phone.  It has happened before and I felt duped thus never returned....  Clearly indicate the individual and their roles and I'm happy.  Once I know a lady well enough and she is comfortable with me, then I usually can email/text independently of the assistant for a private chat.. This works for me...  My $.02 worth....  Hobby On!

I think the best case for most hobbyist would be to call or email a lady and get an immediate response directly from her. More personal and intimate that way. Of course, in the real world this is often difficult. So anything you can do to increase the chances that calls or emails to you are returned promptly is obviously a good thing. You do run the risk of the assistant handling a clients request in a way that you might not have, but this fact is inherit any time you are dealing with employees. In your case you are well acquainted with the person you have in mind for the job, and there is a high level of trust. Should work out great. Good luck!

I agree with most of the others in that, providing I were able to speak with you prior to our meeting, an assistant for screening and logistics would not deter me.

Incidentally, I think you meant to say that you trust your friend "explicitly" (without reservation). Inexplicable means incapable of explanation, and is usually used when doing something contrary to reason (which would probably not be a good thing in these circumstances).

I don't have a problem with talking to an assistant first.  I think it's perfectly acceptable!!!   There's just too much "stuff" going on not to be careful and, if your life is like mine, the organization an assistant would add should make your life a little easier.    I always need to talk and feel the "connections" too........
