Is the industry on a down slide or is it just me?angry_smile

Let me start by saying that I understand that we all have our ATF's, and we have them for a reason. With that being said we all like to explore new providers sometimes, maybe just hunting for the "diamond in the rough", but it seems like lately that everytime I stray away from known territory it turns out for the worse. The part that makes it so bad is that the provider I call does not seem to care if the client is satisfied with her services or not.

I just have to ask, am I the only guy who has noticed that the industry has taken a turn for the worse here in Atlanta. To make a long story short I called a provider here in Atlanta and made an arrangement to meet. She said she does not do incall, so I told her I would get a room. I Called her with the room # at 11:58. She said she was getting off of the exit and would be there in 10 minutes. I waited 25 minutes called her back, and she said she was sorry, she must have taken a wrong turn but she was almost there. All in all, I waited for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes and she still was a no-show. As I was walking out the door and getting into my car she pulled up. I told her that I was running behind in time now, and could not do the appointment. And to top it off she asked about the room, saying well you have already paid for the room, so someone should get the use out of it. I can only imagine that she was refering to me giving her the key, and that was not going to happen!!!

Not looking to bust anyone's chops here or ruffle and feathers, but something needs to be done to set a Precedence. The more reviews I read it seems that when guys see it is a B&S, or the provider is an hour or so late they still give her the money and go through with the appointment. I just have to think the guys that do this are just adding fuel to the fire. Well I will get off of my soap box now and leave well enough alone.

Thanks to the board for allowing me to vent, now I will smile and get on with life.

"you will never lose a woman chasing money, but you will always lose money chasing women"...

I wrote a post but it was a double post... Then I edited the double and they both disappeared LOL!

Geez!

I tire of NSNC and "hobbyists" who expect the mooon, stars, and hell, the entire galaxy, and for $50.
I tire of those who use the recession as an excuse to treat providers anyway they please because we "should be thankful" for what we are getting. I tire of the disrespect, and how some providers perpetuate the skank stereotype, and then I get expected to act the same way. (I'm not first class, but I ain;t white trash either) The hobby HAS went into a cesspool here.
That's why this girl is travelin; soon...  and before anyone says anything, I am not referring to every last hobbyist in ATL. I've just noticed the level of courtesy and respect is almost non existent in the hobby now...

I have noticed a worsening of service almost universally no matter what the business is.

nail salon.  you would think with the bad economy and people can buff their own nails that you would receive exceptional customer service. Haven't found one that really cares if I return.

And when I go out to eat I expect good customer service with my nice meal.  Received poor service the last couple of times I ate out.

And as far as the hobby goes.  In this bad economy and with this hobby being a luxury. I think you guys deserve and should expect the best possible service from the provider you chose.

Behave this way give those of us who really do care and take it seriously a bad name. So don't give up just yet. We are out here...and those who take it seriously are raising the bar.

At first I thought you were saying that I ("this provider" noted under my post) that I give providers a bad name.  After re-reading, I think you meant the provider from the original message that was over an hr late.  I hope that's who you meant anyway.  I love all the women I have met in this business.  And all the ladies I have ever done doubles with give the best possible service that they can and I hope they feel the same about me.  Kindly, Madison

Absolutely, I meant providers like the one he was referring to (an hour plus late and without any class or tact-use the room he paid for?!?), give those of us who take what we do seriously and give good service, a bad name.

Definitely was not speaking of you.

Love and Light,
Mira

That is a long time to wait but did you give her good directions?

I HIGHLY doubt that she got lost if she says she was 10 mins away from the hotel....

I think the hobby has changed but not for the worse, things just change.

Just 3 years ago there were dozens of brasilian,
latin or asian places.  They have pretty much gone under ground.  But you can find latin indy's or civies that can be fun too.

there is still alot of quality talent out there,
you just can not expect it from a new or cl or cv girl.  Info and pm are more important.

I agree to always walk from Bait and Switch or any Ripoff situation

I agree with all of what you said.  That's why I stick with the reputable agencies in Atlanta, and never had any trouble with them.

I've had some real wierd expereicnes with "indies".

Essential Referrals, Hush, adn others are outstanding and you generally get what you are looking for (just read the reviews).

Enquiring minds want to know, do tell what weird experiences have you had with indies?

I meant independents.  Well, how bout they show up and the pic's I saw on line were probably 15-20 years ago, also add 25 Lbs.

Also, won't do anything advertised, everything is not a set price as stateed but ala carte'.

I've never had any of those problems with the reputable agencies you find on TER.

Self advertisers like Craig's List, which is where I had the worst experience ever.

Also, City Vibe.  This was  before I joined TER, and had no access to reviews. Since I joined TER I have no reason to stray, TER ROCKS!

I do agree that with the fact that there are sure fire agencies here in Atlanta and those are where I usually turn too. I will also say that one of my ATF is an indepent, but most of my bad calls have been from "indies." This particular time I was just feeling the urge to look for the "Diamond in the rough", but it just turned out to be a lump of cole.

In my case it seems the further I drove away from Atlanta to meet an independent the worse the experience.  Don't know why.

I travel alot for business, and have recently seen providers in New Orleans, Huntsville Al, Myrtle Beach SC and Knoxville Tn.
It seems counter intuitive, but while having fewer providers, they seem to almost always bring their A game. I found it dificult this time of year to find talent in Myrtle Beach, but ended up with a really super girl who I've since seen twice for 2 hour appts both times and the last visit she brought "Treats" from a bakery that specializes in baked goods for dogs. I travel with my 126 lb American bulldog and she remembered. Frankly I was touched.
You would think, with the competion fierce in Atl., that that would encourage local providers to up their "Game".
I should point out that not every provider in Atl. has poor customer service skills, just that when I read this post, it reasonated with me and articulated some thoughts I've had for a while.

I agree 150 % !!! There should be absolutely NO TOLERANCE for B and S providers. Almost the same thing occurred to me about 2 or 3 yrs ago when I was on a business trip. The difference: I turned the B and S provider away after she clearly was not the lady in the ad. I lost almost 100 dollars for the room and basically chalked the whole thing up as a learning experience....

I'm glad you had some sense and did not give her use of the room.....I'm not sure any guys would've after being treated so crappy like that.....

my 2 cents

BTW, I think that the Atlanta scene has depleted quite a bit since I first became a hobbyist (7 yrs ago). It seems like it's a sign of the times...

yea after paying for the room and chalking it up as what it was, I must say I felt like i was saving $200.00 by walking away and not going through with the appointment. Sometimes cutting your losses can feel like you are saving money, even tho the room was a waste.
