It is a topic that has been brought up time and time again, but when I was mentioned in a post that turned into a agency vs/ agency rates discussion it hurt some feelings (not mine), but I want to clarify that in this business we are all adults here, I personally do not take advantage of women and the women who choose to work with agencies are grown adults not victims as most people paint them in this light of being used to turn a profit for a "pimp".  There are agencies ran by women and some ran by men and we choose to operate our business in the fashion that works for us, this includes independents.  And there are many options for women to decide how and where they want to work, either agency or independent.    

With that said if a woman comes to an agency and the company says our models rates are $250 an hour and the girl agrees to that then she made a choice and if a girl goes to an agency and the company says you choose your own rates then that is the girls choice.  It is no ones place to really tell agencies or other ladies how they should run their business.  I may not agree with every business practice but the one thing is if it works for that company or for that lady then let them be as long as they are not harming you or stepping on your toes then why do you care?  If you do not agree with an agency or independent and how they operate then do not go there.  

Personally I feel a lady can charge what they want to charge, but in my experience I have seen ladies with no experience and no reviews come in and say they want to charge $400 an hour, the next thing I ask them is how much they desire to earn a week.  I then would show them other reviews of "like" ladies and their rates and always remind them it is best to start at a more "moderate" rate and then increase with time until they reach their balance.  We allowed women we worked with to choose their rates, but most always asked for what was recommended to best assure them (x) amount of appointments.  

I do think it is unfair to compare us agencies and indys who are suppose to be working together, providing references to each other and watching each others backs to be "compared" by rates, I say if lady (a) can get the appointments she is getting at her "higher" rates and she is happy with it then great and if lady (b) wants more volume so she chooses to decrease her rates then she should be able to do that with-out people over analyzing her purpose, reason and "marketing" strategy.  If a guy wants to see a specific lady bad enough and if it fits in his budget he is going to see her, plain and simple.  

I feel ashamed that it has turned to this in Atlanta, but I can say I am a person who believes in supporting ladies with what they want to charge while providing them what the market will give them.  It is always best to start low and increase then to start high and decrease.  

We are in a hobby business that is suppose to be fun, I don't think clients need to "overthink" these little things, thats our job.  

I just want to apologize for the mention below of the rates as I support what agency and independent girls wish to charge for their sessions.  They are Independent Contractors and they all have a choice.  Every lady has a choice to who they want to work with, how they want to work, what they want to offer etc.  This is an amazing occupation and hobby and it can be hard on those of us behind the curtain, but guys should not make it hard on these girls, they are women who need to smile and enjoy their jobs and enjoy spending time with you which = an awesome session/experience for everyone.

When I see a rate, whether it's $50-1k hr......  I say to myself she must be able to command that rate or else she wouldn't charge it.  

When it comes to rates it's that simple... although I'm sorta confused on what's a independent contractor I thought the agencies set the rates not the girls.

As I said some agencies may set the rates and at that point the lady can decide if she wants to work there or she can decide to work somewhere else where girls set their own rates.  

Yes girls are Independent contractors/Independent consultants when working with an agency, they are not to be employed that is a whole different ball game.  

An agency can make suggestions on what to charge, and as I said an agency can tell a girl this is what set rate we charge and if the girl is not happy with that then she can work elsewhere.  So there are both types of agencies.  

I personally see agencies with rates at 300 per hour and thats fine many of our ladies charged this, but I do not personally see the use in the rate being double for 2 hours (600) I see most guys wanting extended time because they want to relax, take their time etc.  But hey if thats what a girl wants to charge then that's her business.  I see this business as buying time, not just services, it is an overall experience which drives the rates.

And I agree with you on the doubling of the original rate. With me when I'm getting a better deal on longer sessions, I usually forgo the hr for the longer session.

Although, having low rates doesn't necessarily mean wanting a higher volume. It could just mean she is new and didn't do her research. lol

And, I agree. We are all adults. We make our own choices. I could go back to cleaning toilets, taking in laundry and selling plasma in addition to my day job, but this is a helluva lot more rewarding. Even on "bad days". I'm sure agency ladies feel the same.

The Count has had in his court many a lady that worked indy or for an agency
and most had a feel for what her price should be.  All had similar goals of having
their business built up to where she could choose who she see.  Some regs and
always some new ones too.

A woman can be had for the price of a drink and good conversation.  Or a nice lunch
or for no reason at all or sometimes not at all.

The money is a facilitator of what will take place in the dark room.  Money separates the
real from the fantasy. Money, well blah blah blah...

Just make sure regardless of the rate, before you lay the donation down...

IMO move to Costa Rica where it's cheap and legal. Anyone charging $300 and up better be a 15 on a scale from 1-10 and under 25.

I think the gent who questioned gals charging over 300 is not taking into consideration our expenses.  Hotels and transportation (parking in cities). Many sites including those we use to verify our safety cost us.  Add advertising costs,  photo sessions (300-500 for a basic session) and outfits, hair, nails, etc. Condoms and lube are an on-going expense.  I also pay quarterly taxes as an independent contactor.  Add rent/mortgage, food, medical/car/homeowner insurances  and other living expenses.  This is not Costa Rica.  

For many years I have had a desire to use the industry as a case study in my MBA classes. It represents a fine example of the free market system being relatively unregulated and represents a great example of supply and demand; as well as reactions to market forces.  
I have always been hesitant because I know the administration would have a s*#t fit if I did use it. But 'M' has written a pretty good synopsis of ECON 101.
