I remember the good ol days of advertising in magazines, newspapers and phone books i wonder if   we will have to revert back to doing that. Where we just listed are websites in those sources

Didn't BackPages parent company own many of those alternative papers? Most are still around but don't advertise adult content as in personal or escort ads. Perhaps they may again in some form.
