Preference overall is a short tight dress, thong underneath, and no bra. I don't particularly like to be met at the door by a provider that is already nude.
My favorite combo on a woman is a silk robe, bare feet and a smile. It's classic, sexy, and leaves just a bit to the imagination.
And is also quite easily removed. 
But sometimes it's nice not to know beforehand.
I just had a lady ask me my wardrobe preference and I told her to surprise me. She did. When her door opened I was happy to see a young lady dressed in a schoolgirl outfit.
I asked her if she was a good schoolgirl or a naughty schoolgirl. She said "you'll have to be the judge of that."
Turns out she was a good naughty schoolgirl. LOL
She answered in bra pantie and heels I liked that )
I like the street cloths look that way you can imagine how she looks in the grocery store. And the lust begins.

Yep I'm a huge fan of the robe and a smile but the button down would be a close second place winner. Just now thinking of Halley in a blue Oxford with three buttons buttoned. Yum

And I was also surprised to see so many ladies that voted they wear clothing. Of all the wardrobe requests I've received for incall, I've only been asked twice to wear clothes.
Black lingerie with heels. There's something to be said though for a short cocktail dress with the heels of course.
There was this one provider (who has since vanished or at least gone UTR) who was tall, busty and had a great tan. She posted some pics in a bikini. I'd seen her before and always thought next time I'd love for her to wear the bikini for me.
The big thing for me is the panties. I've been disappointed a couple of times when provider didn't wear any. Maybe I'm weird, I know it turns some guys on but I just think sexy undies are much sexier than completely nude (at least at he beginning).

And a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader outfit comes to mind. On subsequent visits I'm with Erealm, love the shorty, silky robe with nothing under. Never been met in a dress shirt, but think that would work as well. The one that sticks in my mind the most was the second time I saw a lady who had greeted me the first time in panties/bra/thighhighs. Second time she wore a black cocktail dress with a choker collar and wide open bodice, along with spaghetti strap high heels and sparkly, dangly earrings. Simply gorgeous! Led me into the bedroom and then struck a pose straight from the glamour mags: turning her back to me and looking over her shoulder while holding her hair up for me to unfasten the collar and unzip the dress. Just lit this ole guy up!
Would leave the door unlocked, and be on the couch using a vibrator. Christ if I didn't almost explode in my pants.
But, that was after several meetings mandatory some trust was built up.

I prefer a lady to be dressed but in a provocative manner. I like to see her answer the door in a sundress with nothing underneath. Or...if the weather is cooler I like to see her wearing snug fitting jeans & a tight top or sweater.
