Given that we are a bunch of "characTers" Do you ever give up your handle during screening or at Your initial meeting? As if might improve service! Lol after all the hobby Is like the 7 degrees of kevin bacon and our reputation May proceed us.
Amen-That is one of the reasons for posting reviews-I would like to feel that it aids in the approval process!! What do some of the Gal's think about this??
is giving up your handle during screening something you're NOT supposed to do?

I figure that if they will still see me after knowing who I "really" am, we will probably be in for a good time. lol
Keep in mind of course, that I don't give a fuck what a provider does with my personal or TER information, I know I am a lot more likely to be put on a DNS list for what I say on the boards than anything I would ever dream of doing in person.
I might be an asshole on the board, but aside from slamming the door on a B&S fat and ugly broad. I would never dream of doing anything disrespectful to any of the women I see, well unless you consider shooting a load in her mouth "disrespectful" lol
Now as far as vindictive bitches on the boards goes, I am confident that my big mouth has already landed me on a DNS list or two. and quite frankly my dear "I don't give a fuck" (you know that's what he really wanted to say, lol)
There's not much of a middle ground with opinions of me. People tend to either like me or hate me. Oh well....don't care. So I want to give the handle out and let them make up their own mind. Some have researched posts. Some have researched posts and reviews. Some haven't done much at all. But there's only been two who have said "Respectfully, from your posts I feel that we would not be a good match." No harm, no foul, and I respect them for it.
Then on the other hand there's been two or three who have reached out and said they'd like to see me because of my posts. So whaddya gonna do? LOL.
It is what it is and I stand behind almost everything said with this handle since I've been here. I give it out freely and people can form their own opinions.
I like this question, was just having a convo about this very topic tonight, in fact.
There are (at least) 2 sides to this coin. On one hand, a TER handle with reviews and posts can be an aid during the screening process. but, on the other; if a provider knows that she's about to see a 'reviewer,' she may be on her best behavior for him in order to get a good review. In which case, it's not a true review- she was in 'first date mode' for him when in reality this may be contrary to her typical behavior.
Plus, reading a man's reviews and posts will skew a provider's impression regardless of whether we admit to it or not. I mean, if I read a few posts where the dude comes off as an ass, I may have my guard up for our date. When in reality, he may have just had a burr under his saddle, or I misinterpreted his board post... On the other hand, if I read in his reviews that he's into things that I'm not- well, that can be useful info for both of us prior to setting up a date.
I prefer to not do so. One, it is a handle and certainly no claim to fame. Two, it normally only leads to expecations from the provider that I post a great review, which many times, I do not post at all when I do no think there is something to add. If I do post, I do not post according to her desires but my opinion (which is where the "rub" comes in). I have run into a provider or two who I wanted to see and after demanding to be verified some how, I used my handle. She then responded that she had concerns because she wanted to keep her scores up and that seeing me might lower them (as she thought my average score was lower than most). I told her I wanted to see her and would not review and so we met (and had a great time, buy you won't hear about it).
