Why no PM?

Just a question that I have been wondering lately.   Seems more and more ladies, and especially agencies, are stating they do not have PM capabilities here.  Is there some specific reason why this is the case?  Security?  Cost?  A policy change I missed?  Too many time wasters?  IDK, seems to me in slow times that anyone in any business would want all avenues of communication to customers available.

Also, kinda sad that I feel I need to add the disclaimer that my question is straight up with no ulterior motive or agenda and is NOT directed at any specific lady or agency.  I am NOT criticizing anyone's choices, just asking for rationale.  Pretty sure my prior posts have already demonstrated that I am sometimes not the brightest bulb in the pack, but silly, stupid or naive - I would appreciate some illumination on this. (I'd even invite PM responses, but even I get the irony of that suggestion.)

Maybe you're turning them off and they don't have the heart to tell you openly.

Some providers without VIP don't realize they can link their reviews and have access to PMs though they are basic members.   Some get moderated and have their PMs shut off for a period of time and often they don't know it's happened and they miss time sensitive messages.  Some don't like that TER has banned people based on the content of their PMs, and/or they don't want staff in their personal correspondence.  Then there are those who HATE getting general inquiries and comments via PM because that requires them to sign into their TER account - it's much easier to correspond via e-mail as it's easily accessible on their phones.   At this point, I only use PMs to verify the account owner whose trying to use their white list referrals as a reference.  They send a PM, I know it's them and then move onto the rest of my screening.
