I am like you also, have range won't below or higher. Without self discipline in this hobby, you won't be in it for too long before going bankrupt and screwing up rest of yopur life style.

The agency I use has the same rates they had when I started using them in '09. PM me if you'd like to know about them. The indies I see have stayed the same with the exception of one. She raised her rate when she left the agency and has raised it once more since then. ( Now out of my price range.)

I know that is for sure not the case.  I have been around for years now.  Have had roughly the same price ($250) the whole time.  Even though my reviews have always been good, and keep getting better, I have not raised my rates.

I, for one, would be an el cheapo I guess compared to others.  But I can guarentee that I am NOT a high volume provider.  I go for days without seeing anyone and when I do it is never more than 2 a day.

I have not had the pleasure of meeting Misty or Caitlin - yet - and I hope our paths do cross in the future.  But reading their posts points out exactly what is inherent in this business-- each girl is unique and does what she does based on her own personal wants and needs and goals and plans.  It is not my job to question their work or their rates. I have never understood the purpose of these posts where a guy whines about the rates charged by girls and/or agencies.  If you can't afford a Lexus you don't go firing off a letter to the CEO complaining about the cost of the car; you go find what you like at a price you can afford.  There's no shame in that, that's just life.  If a provider raises her rates, then so be it; and if a girl prices herself out of my comfort zone then I will make my decisions as I have to make them.  But you aren't going to hear me whine about it.

Atlanta is still a great place for a hobbyist on a budget, and this is coming from someone who spends  a third of his time in Latin America. lol

I will disagree about the women getting the price they want, but only slightly. SOME women are getting the price they want, most are not. Good for the ones that do, good for us that not every provider can command those type rates in a city as competitive as Atlanta.

Frankly, I don't really give a fuck what the price of hookers is in Atlanta. There are more women in Atlanta than I could ever fuck in several lifetimes at price that is more than affordable, and I am as big a horndog as you will ever encounter. I did raise my rates, earlier this year. And many of you might be surprised to know that I did it on the suggestion of (more than one) client. No, I'm not saying that I let them "pump my head up", but in all actuality, a lady's rate has more to do with the client than with her. I feel that I give just as great a session at $$ as I do at $$$...but for some reason, I actually got busier when my rates increased. I think it may have something to do with all the gents that didn't know I was around because they use $$$ in their search. So, if you can read between the lines, I'm flexible with the right chemistry

To your point Misty, you among others (from checking the Atl ad board) are one that I think of when these posts come up as a counter to what the OP is saying.  I just don't see these increases.

I wish I had the time to ponder why a provider sets her rate the way she does. However, I think it's her business and she can do it the way she wants. Might not make sense to me, but it doesn't have to. Her reasons are all that matter.

Obviously the OP has seen some increases as I'm guessing he wouldn't have just made it up. Noting them may be valid. Beyond that why bother. The state of the economy certainly has an effect on things but not everyone is impacted the same way. Therefore to say, why are they raising rates in this economy, may not apply. It's usually not a good idea to make assumptions.

When I first started getting reviews IMHO my reviews sucked! lol Well over the last few years I have improved my looks and definitely my performance. I wanst really into what I was doing and was very unhappy. Well as most of you know by now, I have worked my ass off (literally! lol) to change all theese things. All of this (especially the ME part) was very hard work. I also have a very upscale private incall now that I didnt offer before AND I am without a doubt low volume now. Before I wasnt at all! I also make sure I update my pics every 2 months ( which is a lot of work alone!) I do offer more services now and cater to the gents that come to see me with whatever they want (wine, beer, variety of waters, soft drinks, pussy, ass, 2 girls, 3 girls, etc.....) PLUS I NEVER rush, I simply dont have to. Plus the gentlemen, from my experience, seem like a whole different breed of guys with the new rate. Not saying that a gents that pays less is any less worthy of fun but it is a different clientelle all together with my new rate. The gents I see now are not into the "wham bham thank you maam!" at all. They want to spend time and get to know me rather than just a quik fuck. Although we WILL BOTH get ours LOL!! I know, I'm such a whore! haha!
With all this being said I felt theese things justified me raising my rates.

Hey DD, you over simplify.  Recent weeks isn't the first time enough folks have become unhappy with rates such that some of them are willing to breach this topic as we've seen.  And chances are it won't be the last either.

It's pretty simple to just wave the banner of, "if you don't like it tough shit, go somewhere else".  Frankly, that's truly the best action for any guy to take.  But, it doesn't provide an outlet to let off some steam about what they view as unwarranted, even greedy prices.  For every guy who has seen fit to engage in the, "I don't like the rate syndrom" there are probably 20 others who feel the same way but don't post.  I suspect there are far fewer schills who like rates going higher.

And through it all, just like in years of the past, there has never ever been a believable explanation for the rate increases.  Some have tried to explain, but any first year math student can see through those explanations, particularly when it's about agency vs indy explanations.  So absent any plausible explanatiion short of fuck off if you don't like it, the satisfaction of getting a decent response hasn't happened and so it pops up again and again... such is life and I'm betting we'll see it again and again.  I'm also betting that some gals see the threads and adjust their rates, while others just ignore it, and still others just raise rates again just to "get even"... LOL

another point is there will never be what everyone considers a plausible explanation. No matter what the provider says is her reason some one will say that's not good enough. It's all about how it impacts the one asking the question.

Calm down.  I didn't make any comment for or against rates.  I only addressed DDs comment with my observation about why the topic shows up.  Just for the record, I don't indulge my time with any of the girls from the board because I focus solely on my ATF who only shows up here in a blue moon.
