I've been around for over 6 years and although all my reviews have been deleted, and given this handle by management after an attempted outing on the board......my current posts are still delayed for review.
Because of this delay in my post, I don't regularly reply to whats going on.  And personally, I couldn't give a shit....lol.
So hang in their my friend, I'm on your side.  And I am really sorry I was unable to support your efforts Monday evening...but be assured I will be there in the future.

I pulled your post because of these reasons:

1. there was already a thread celebrating the night before, why didn't you post under that one?  you had go out of your way to create a brand new thread regarding the M&G and then post your pic as well?

2. your post contained your picture, how long have you been posting ads on TER?  you know full well any provider post with a pic (other then daily picture threads) are automatically considered  ads.  since you already posted an ad on the 23rd, yes, that was then considered your 2nd ad.

If pulling your post based on the 2 reasons above makes me a power tripped mod, then so be it.  based on those 2 reasons alone, I should've moderated you, but no, the nice mod gets misunderstood and crapped on again.  well you know what, you want the nazi mod, sure here he is.

LP, I am moderating her for a month, don't unmod for any reason.  I'll post on the mod board as well to ensure her sentence sticks.  The nice mod may return and nullify the sentence if I receive an apology.

Having had some past experience as a mod, I know it can be a thankless, grueling task where your customers, the forum members, are almost never completely satisfied. Or at the very least, not everyone is satisfied at the same time.

Unlike mods on other forums, I give this forum's 2 moderators all the credit for taking the time to explain the reasoning behind their actions. Furthermore, they are considerate enough to offer a private conversation, if so desired.

In addition, they don't have to resort to name-calling or vulgarity as they explain their positions, unlike some forum members.

As for the moderation of posts, one should think of it as a 3rd-party-run benefit being provided free of charge to help prevent one from posting a questionable post. Many things are censored today despite their being broadcast on "live" TV, thanks to 5 second transmission delays.

While there's always room for improvement in any endeavor, I really do believe that this forum's 2 mods are doing a very nice job. Perhaps a little thanks for their tireless efforts is in order.

TER is not a democracy.  I have a job to do, and it doesn't involve voting from the community.  I don't make the rules.  I interpret them and enforce them.  If you have issues with how that happens, please feel free to send me a constructive PM, and we can discuss.  Those that know me will attest to that I'm a nice guy and quite fair.  However when pushed, I can be a major asshole.  It's really your call as to which of those personalities interprets the rules.  I think it's fair to say that DL can be both nice and not nice, depending on the situation.  It's the drawback to using humans to perform tasks.

P.S.  I'm out of the country today, so I may not get to those constructive suggestions with my normal promptness.

Even if it were exclusively a paysite, that fact is irrelevant when it comes to the moderators doing their jobs and people not liking it.
