First off, I don't know if I ever would have taken the plunge into this activity if it weren't for the fact that I could check out reviews. This was not just for what to expect from a particular lady but just the overall experience overall: communication, payment protocol, etc.
That being said, I don't always write a review. I do agree that it feels a bit invasive to me. However, I still write them. This is partially to help others make an educated decision. It's partially to relive the experience. It's partially to give affirmation to a provider. And it's partially for the VIP factor.
But I would never do so if they did not want it. I do not ask. But if they mentioned that I wouldn't. The woman I've seen the most often wanted nothing to do with TER and I respected her wishes.
Wrighting a review is a way to share an experience and give a little back
to those who have written reviews that help you find a great provider.
Also, a good review is like a testi, omial for the girl too. What she does.
Do you take the time to write a review going in? That is do you see a girl knowing you will review her
or
Are you influences by the session (good or bad) to write the review?
Its a new year and I need to do a 2011 review or two! lol
I don't do reviews anymore. At first, I stopped because when I tried to post reviews, they started getting rejected for a whole host of silliness (IMO.) It simply was not worth the aggravation. Now, I simply don't feel comfortable sharing intimate info on a public website. And sadly, without "juicy details" - TER does not approve a review. That is just me and a personal choice. But I do read reviews (non VIP section) as it helps, IMHO, to legitimize a lady that I have not seen. Yep, hypocrisy on my part.
However, via backchannel, I have no hesitancy giving my assessment of time spent with a particular lady. I have left my paid VIP lapse so it makes it hard to give back to those for whom I do not have a hobby email. I am in process of changing that, but TER does not accept Amer Express so I am going a different payment route to get VIP (and PM capability.)
No secret reviews can help a lady's business - just as a bad review can hurt. Until I get my TER PM back, you will note what many have told me are borderline white night comments - it is pretty obvious from my posts which ladies I have recently seen and which I would recco.
In the end - I think it is a personal decision, if someone is not hesitant about sharing intimate details, then reviews are the way to go. If the reviewer is unknown to me, I don't put much credence into a single review. But I would read yours, so post away. ![]()
First is to inform my fellow hobbyists.
Second is for the provider to get what she deserves (good or bad).
Third is when I need VIP credits.
Fourth is so I remember who I saw as I tend to forget after a few weeks.
My first review was in 2001 and my most recent was last year (I have one pending for this year). I submitted no reviews between 2004 and 2006.
I first started submitting reviews for the selfish reason that I wanted VIP status, and to a substantially lesser degree because I wanted to contribute to what was then a much smaller community.
By 2004, I realized I was only seeing women who had already lots of reviews and I was contributing comparatively little to the community's body of knowledge. The advantage of VIP membership did not seem to justify the effort otherwise.
Most recently, I have reviewed women where I have gotten explicit permission up front and who have expressed a desire to have a recent review. There are marketing benefits to recent reviews, and if I can help a provider who provided a good session, I will do so now.
This is an interesting question and I am looking forward to seeing other answers.
Non-fiction of course. I love to write erotic stories, all the better when they're true! I like the sense of community I feel here (although I doubt I'd ever get to go to a M&G, and I don't contribute *nearly* as much as most), and I want to contribute all that I can in whatever way I'm able.
Plus, I like going back and re-reading my own reviews from time to time. I started in late 2005, and I like to go back an reminisce over past times. Back then, it was *all* about repaying the community and getting the extended VIP time.
I value looking at other's reviews before I see a new lady, so I feel obligated to share my observations. One problem with my logic, is that if I only see previously reviewed ladies, then -- am I really adding a lot????
If the experience was positive, I want to support the provider by telling others about her. If the experience was negative, I want to spare others the same misfortune.
Finally as someone said earlier, for us early onset Alzheimer guys -- rereading old reviews reminds me of days gone by.
I agree with bwcoyote, I never liked enjoyed writing reviews but wrote a few because I felt some pressure to do so. Being an older person and a product of the '50's and early '60's, I can't get past the "kiss and tell" feel of reviews.
Rarely do I ever read a review. I've got my stable of girls and don't feel that I need anymore so I just do go shopping that often. If I do need a change of pace, I rely on pictures and my initial conversation with the girl.
I probably didn't answer your question but that's the way I feel about it all.

You basically covered it.
I want to contribute to the community, it is a way to track ladies I have seen, it is a way to reward ladies that are superior, it is a way to warn my fellow hobbiest of problems to avoid.
I dont write reviews on 2nd times, unless it has been awhile or the session was significantly diferent. Sometimes if the session is strange, but I amequally at fault, I will pass on the review so as to not unfairly harm the lady. Sometimes Iam just too lazy.
In most instances, I write the narrative in my hobby email account as a message, as near to the end of the session as possible, then I can come back later and clean up and fill in details.
