My ATFLN (my all-time favorite left nut) is missing. It's been gone for 7 years, does that mean the we are legally separated?
I'm still looking for the lady who said that she thought it was an olive. After all, it was pitted, but it wasn't stuffed! She left so fast that I didn't get to ask her name.

If this was a response to my post about my ATF was missing You are one insensetive a**hole. This lady could be in real trouble considering the violence against providers in Atlanta lately. This is not her MO. She's been missing for four days. I hope you lose the right one, too.

I apologize to you about the behavior of a certain element on this board.  This element seems to not notice its readily apparent rudeness and insensitivity while on their quest to amuse only themselves.

For starters, you made that "My atf provider is missing" post using an alias, luvmyfirebirds.  Second, you didn't even specify who you were even talking about.  Lastly, and most importantly, you started that post with an inflamatory statement: "What in the hell is going on with you people in Atlanta.Lunden, stabbings,busts on TV."

It's not surprising to me that under those circumstances, your post was not taken seriously.  I'm sure that had you posted under your known and recogized username (LVP), the response would have been much different.  I sincerely hope that Sxxxxxx is okay and turns up soon; another tragedy we certainly don't need around here.

By the way, the answer to your "What the hell is going on with you people" question is this:

We are saddened and grieving over the loss of a fellow co-worker, a member of a small but tight community, a loved one, a young vibrant life taken well before her time, and a young mother who leaves a child who will never really know her mother's kindness.

THAT is what's "going on" with us people around here.

However, to focus an entire industry on one isolated incident then to instill FEAR & PANIC is utterly crazy. Posts similar to
yours have made their way to National Boards and have much of the
Nation believing that a visitor  to the  area is in danger of (A) being killed by some pshycho chasing Escort killer or
(B) getting busted by this huge Atlanta task force  that is supposedly going after everyone  from  ....'upscale Internet escorts to $5 buck street walkers'....

To receive voicemail after voicemail and email after email cancelling appointments made as far as two months in advance, by traveling visitors,is a result of the effectiveness of the panic method, which incorporates posts such as this one.

"What the hell is going on"- is a personal & limited situation,  no matter how tragic, is being spot lighted as  "The scene in   Atlanta"

I agree with atl_mgr:  If anyone has a real concern post it and I am sure you will get all of the assistance in the world. But,  in my opinion, the "panic style, instilling fear" posts just need to be curtailed. These are doing nothing more than giving the Hotlanta area a black eye.

AND now the real question I am sure everyone has been just dying to know the answer to:   Did your "ATF- all  time  favorite"  ever get back to you or did  the "SO- her significant other"  ever let you know where she was? It's been a few days and we  haven't heard anything. Just FYI, none of my clients, not even my ATF have to ever worry about anyone ever contacting them  about my wear-abouts!!!!!
