For those who've been to the Master's what is your concession of choice?
I always go for the BBQ Sandwich & a beer(s). I never tried the famous pimento cheese.

Who's watching today? (besides me)
I have never had the pleasure of actually attending but I would go for the bbq myself. I will be watching all weekend from various watering holes. I haven't figured out todays yet.
Should be a great filed this year. Luke Donald maybe the guy who sneaks quietly in to take the green jacket. But Rory, Phil and yes Tiger will all make it interesting.
I love the Masters. The tradition, an incredible course and the worlds best gathered all in one place. Not to mention the hordes of hot women. Gotta love golf milfs. Remember Caddy Shack? Bill Murray as Carl " Oh Mrs. Crane, you're a little monkey woman. Yeah, you're lean, mean, and I bet you're not too far in between are ya. How'd you like to wrap your spikes around my..."
One of my all time fav comedy movies.
Have fun if you go!

Love your subject on this green jacket weekend. Love the BBQ. And import beer in the Green plastic cup domestic in the clear cup. Have a great oatmeal cookie too. Getting to play there a couple times . The fried chicken in the club house is awesome . Bp

... am hopefully going either Saturday or Sunday this year. The pimento cheese sandwiches are my favorite! I don't drink anymore but I was always amazed at how cheap the concessions are at the Masters. Sandwich, chips, and beer for less that $10 where the same purchase at the Brave's game would be closer to $30!
True! In fact I think you can get the sandwich, chips & a domestic beer with a $5. Yes, at Turner field it'd definitely put a hole in a $20.
I hope you get to enjoy it this weekend.
Meagan,
I had the luck of going last year to the early round. Its like a rock concert there! The mass that followed Tiger was staggering. The women were amazing! I was like a little kid there...I Met (Ha! - I Saw) Fuzzy, Ernie, VJ, Tiger...all of them.
I tried everything I could...including the famous cheese (eh...it was cheese). I mostly had beer. The thing that I love about this place is that they wanted this experience to be down to earth. So you won't find over blow, extravagant prices for anything there. I was really impressed.
A few things I learned which I thought were neat:
There is a lot of walking - They don't allow carts
The course is only open for about a few months, absolutely no play in the off season.
Those cabins are actually lived in by residents (not sure how many)
That place was dripping with sexy women and money (neither of which I brought with me)
I doubled up on Zyrtec when I was there as it practically snowed pollen.
I'll be watching too!
I was one of the hot women/milfs there last year.
and the year before. I am not there this year but I'm watching much of it on TV toggling between that and the Braves opener (today).
TONS of walking, sun and heat. I loved it. I love the tradition, history, respect etc.
I was one of the ones following Tiger up until around 15-18th holes.
Made memories that will last me forever. x
One of your locals who has been staying in Columbia, SC and working between the two all week.
If you were asking mine, I said BBQ sandwich & beer(s) I have some green and clear cups as souvenirs.
Pay attention to how the meats and dairy are being maintained. Heated, refrigerated, etc... Sometimes vendors don't pay good attention to food on display and in the heat, it's pretty easy for food to go bad quickly. You wouldn't want to eat your favorite choice only to discover an hour later that you've got the shits from hell... LOL
but I had to try it anyway. Turns out, it wasn't too bad.
They make me so nostalgic! I'm in!

Pimento cheese and BBQ. The rest don't matter! Choosing these solidifies you being southerner; all other choices makes you something else ot as desirable. I've been a bunch although had to pass this year. I've never had a problem despite how far in advance they have to make them in order to have enough for the crowds.
You might try the Master's app. It is the standard for how great all sports apps should be.

Doesn't egg salad or tuna qualify? ![]()
Thanks for the tip on the Master's app. I have the MLB app on my iPad & LOVE it. I have both the computer and TV up right now though. I'll be looking for it.
bring home a bunch of pimento cheese/ ham and cheese/and bbq sandwiches and when you sit at home and watch the tournament...bring the sandwiches out and enjoy them with a cold beer and your big screen...
Although I'd rather be watching you,,,, squirm!!!
I go every year. The hidden diamond in the rough are the Masters club sandwiches (with mustard added). Tastes much better than the BBQ or Pimento sandwiches (and cheaper than the BBQ also).
I like mingling with all the golf purists.
I dislike everyone else who is there just because they think it's "cool" of them to be there. I think security should escort out and permanently revoke the badges of anyone who shouts "get in the hole" every time a player swings.

The get in the hole idiots get old. But there are alot more golf purists than those idiots.
Having grown up in the area and having gone to the Masters tournament many times (particularly back in the day when tickets were easily available and it was easy to go), back when you didn't have to enter a lottery even for the practice rounds and par 3 tournament, and also having played the course several times (not bragging, just stating a fact), I can say there is no place on this planet that has a feeling of heaven more than Augusta National (I know that sounds blasphemous but its how I feel.) The pimento cheese is great, the ham and cheese is very simple but delicious, and the beer in the green cups just tastes better. Masters week in Augusta is fantastic. I used to rent my house out during that week (one year Ben Crenshaw stayed at my house) and a few times I still stayed in town to go to the parties and watch the tournament. Springtime in my mind means the Masters (and my birthday lol) and it is a time I cherish.
