I was born in Japan during the occupation. My Dad was military on  his second tour during the rebuilding. On his second tour he got to take his family. We have many souvenirs of this time including me. I was born there . You can tell a lot about antiques by turning them over and looking for the makers mark on the Bottom. I've considered getting " Made in Occupied Japan" Tattooed You can guess where it would be located. Hence the lady Tattoo artist.

that you are an antique? And that we will be able to tell where you are from if we turn you over and look at the mark
on your bottom? LOL LOL It's great that you are proud of your heritage!
Hope you are doing okay.  Please Keep us updated on your progress. xxoo Sonya

Hell ya I'm an antique and that stamp on the bottom of of a  plate or pottery adds value to some collectors. My Birth certificate was issued   by the State Department and is so old the paper has turned yellow.
