I am not only writing a check every April 15th, but I am usually writing another one every October 15th.
If I ever get a tax refund, I am firing my accountant.
Anybody planning on using some of their tax return (if applicable) on the hobby. I am and now I am on the hunt. But I'm running into one issue. I'm suffering from "overchoice" syndrome. Just too manly lovely ladies and I don't know where to begin. "Ugh" to quote Charlie Brown
I have not gotten a refund in years.... I'm always writing a check on April 15th

I finally get to join the movement lol
So, you are saying that letting Uncle Sam hang on to taxpayer money, interest-free, is not a wise way to leverage personal investment opportunities?
Sheeple may have been coaxed into thinking that every spring they are getting a "freefund." Don't let that secret get out.
I agree with you I just hate writing the check, last year I made my accountant write it and I just signed it
I write a check every March 15th for $10.00 because I have continued to re- invest and raise salaries. And I am not sure why, but my accountant says my gas bill saves me every year.
I do get a refund on my individual that she does, right after my Corp. I give myself a paycheck. I also don't look good on paper for last year because of all my medical I paid, and taxes paid in to treasury for paychecks I did not always cash.
I am very curious how this works for me this year.
Maddie
I wish I had your problem. lol
Unfortunately, there are few ladies in my home area that I wanna see..
Fortunately, when I go to Atlanta their are multiple choices of VERY good ladies.
Hell, now that I think about it - I should move to Atlanta - problem solved!
All I get to do on tax day is send Uncle Sam a boatload of hard earned cash. He tears a whole in me every year. Ug! Take Mo’s advice. Try a few!
Friends the government has convinced a large amount of the population that any monies that are in excess the actual taxes due is a REFUND but it is NOT. It is an Overpayment and as Kraneyum indicates this monies is a interest free loan to the government. Therefore it should be know as an Overpayment.
Our government does not like calling thing what they really are.
Single Payer Health Insurance = Socialized Medicine
IRS Refund = Overpayment

1- the more $taxes I pay the happier I am! ‘cause it means I’m making more $$ 🙂
2- if you under withhold and owe taxes you will also pay a $penalty
“Medicare for All” is Best IMHO, BTW. And, no, I’m NOT a Socialist, I’m a businessman who is a Capitalist FYI
Well said!
1. Also, owing a small amount to irs during tax season means one manages their money well!
2. “Medicate for all” is the best thing that happen to all!

Point number 1 is currently correct, however I would argue that if we went to a consumption based tax instead of an income tax we would be better off. I'm still happy to be making more money but I'm now working for 50 cents on the dollar between federal, state, and FICA taxes the government actually gets more of every dollar I make than I get.
Point 2 is correct unless you pay at least what you paid last year. So my estimated tax payments equalled my last year's tax, my income went up by roughly 50 percent, good year in the markets finally, so come April 15 I will have to write a big check and it won't be because of penalties.
Third point about healthcare.... in the last 10 years my insurance costs have tripled, while dropping my ex from coverage..... my deductibles have gone from 1000 to 5000.... and my daughter's two surgeries were covered pre obamacare but considered cosmetic now cost me a total of 35k.
Now you can say that I was lucky I had the cash to pay.... but the truth is I got out and busted my ass to make the money I have, luck is when hard work meets opportunity.
Or at least that's what the people who think that you STILL aren't paying enough, no matter how many zeroes that check you are going to write has on it are going to see it. If you still have a penny left after YOU pay taxes you didn't pay enough, their tax bill of course is quite a different matter.
Personally I am one of those people who "liked my plan" but instead of getting to keep it I found out that the "smart people" had decided it wasn't good enough for me and the plan THEY decided I should have cost about five times what I was paying before Obamacare with less coverage, and even higher deductibles than the catastrophic policy I was quite happy with prior to ACA.
Nothing beats a couple dumbasses' anecdotes for making a comprehensive assessment of federal policy. Really, thanks for weighing in.

Lol GAG, did I pay this guys health insurance or did you? I guess maybe his mother did since he still lives in her basement
And I'm sad to report that that's my DNA in you, boy. Some of it, anyway. Cuz clearly you inherited your feeble intellect from mommy.
He never really has much to say except to take an occasional pot shot at his "betters" which of course is everyone.
Come to think of it, I can't remember him EVER having anything positive to say. It really must suck to be him.
I agree with you GAG, it seems as though he is still nursing the government tit, not yet growing into the man he should be..... also if he is living in my mother's house, since she is dead, he must be the squatter I kicked out before selling it.
It's always very "amusing" to watch "stupid bumpkins" try their hands "at" quick-witted "comebacks."
My grandmother always said, don't wrestle with a pig, you both get dirty and the pig likes it......
She seems smart. I see where you get it. I don't know how I got the impression that there were nothing but a bunch of ignorant hicks down in Valdosta.
Army, Navy, and Airforce = Socialized Defense
Air traffic control = socialized air traffic
Roads, bridges etc. = Socialized infrastructures
Law enforcement, intelligence services etc. = Socialized law and order!
Don’t they know we can live without all these Socialized stuff! And of course don’t add Socialized medicine to this list ... that will kill us!!! lol! Lol!
