WTF is going on in Georgia. I don't believe this story at all. Wouldn't a used tampon have a particular odor after being enclosed for some time and wouldn't Mr Thomas have smelt it?
Last week a GA couple filed a Federal lawsuit after their son swallowed the contents of a used condom found in their hotel room.
Is the economy so bad that people will say or do anything for an extra buck.
Thomas and Lynn Roddenberry claim they bought a box of Chocolate Chip Crunch cereal from a Save-A-Lot store in Thomaston on Oct. 23, 2008, the newspaper reported. The next day, Thomas Roddenberry opened the box and poured cereal and milk into a bowl, according to the lawsuit.
He discovered the tampon in his bowl after taking a bite and sought treatment at a hospital emergency room after feeling ill, according to the suit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Macon.
..like the finger in the Wendy's chili (it was an elaborate staged plan).
I do know that while working retail in the early 70's, a friend that worked in the toy department of a major store claimed he opened a can of Playdoh (they were not sealed in plastic at the time) and reshaped the Playdoh in the elongated tube into the shape of a penis with balls, then placed the plastic top back on it.
I know we thought it was rip-roaring funny at the time, but when you think about the parent that bought the playdoh and opened it on a holiday morning, i don't think they would have been too happy, i imagine today that would not be possible as all these things are safety sealed, and if it did happen there would be lawsuits all over the place. AND I would probably think that it was all BS too.
I also remember my father opening a sealed cracker pack and finding a used bandage within the cracker pack. this was the early 60's, so he just let it pass (after throwing up) and moved on with his life.
