Has anyone read "Fifty Shades of Grey"??? I'm thinking about indulging myself into the fifty shades... I heard its pretty hot and steamy

It's a trilogy Tiphany. so the 2nd one is called "50 Shades Darker" and the third is "50 Shades Freed", and she captures the first person thoughts of the main character a college stiudent pretty well.  It is sort of a modern "Lady Chatterly's Lover". That in the book is more compelling than the sex scenes for me,  but the sex is interesting because of her first impressions of it because she's a virgin when it starts. It reads pretty fast. Give it a shot, and tell us what you think. It made NY Times Best Seller Fiction  combined print and ebooks #1 pretty quick where it's been for 16 weeks.  LOL the local public libraries won't carry it; welcome to Georgia. It hit Amazon as a best seller really quickly and it didn't do a big ad campaign; it's sales skyrocketed by word of mouth.

I have read all three books.

The writing style is not the best, IMHO.  The subject matter is interesting, but nothing off the charts.

Steamy?  Yes...  A masterpiece?  Far from it...

Call it Hunger Games (or even Twilight) for adults

It is well written for the most part. A bit unrealistic at some points, like when Ana's very first time giving head is an "A" according to Grey.

The parts that I have found very interesting are the contract and her progression into the relationship.

I was all set on reading it and the sequels when two things happened; my ATF who is into being submissive panned it and my 85 year old parents talked about reading it.  Too many conflicting images floating through my head at that point!!

If you are jntrerested in erotic stories try this website, literotica.com.  It is free and has gazillions of stories that are categorized.  There are one page shorts and multiple chapter books posted as each chapter is written.

Guys are visual , women are more emotionally stimulated .
Internet porn is for men , romance novels are for ladies .
With that said , it IS a GREAT book for women . Women read it and I think you will definatly like it . NOTHING bad about it and I read A LOT !!!!  Just not a guy's book .
I knew right away it was not for me but I did finish it and was right , It just was not my kind of book .
It did help me understand how womans minds work a little better so not all was lost .

The intelligence these animals have is simply amazing !!! Probably the closest species to us I think and that is what is so cool about the book and info !
They should NOT be held in captivity if healthy and once wild - That is for sure !!!
They are one of the only species that have sex for fun !

Thank you everyone for the input. I went ahead and got the whole trilogy on my iPad. Maybe I can get some ideas and try them out, lol
