I am a normal guy. I am not a buff guy but I did work out and stay in shape up until my early 30s. I am 48 now and have an above average build .... 5-11 ..180 lbs. with very little fat. I have been told often that I look like I am in my 30s.  I dated beautiful girls in high school. I dated beautiful girls while going to college. I then dated and married one of the most beautiful women I have ever met. We were happily married for 17 years then it went south. I was 45 ....she was 41 and the pretty face was still there but  child birth and time did a number on her once hourglass figure. I took up the "hobby" after dating a few beautiful ladies who had way too much drama & baggage for this ol boy. The common factor in all my relationships is that I don't settle for less than beautiful women in my love/sex life. I do have many girl friends who have normal looks like myself but in order to get my sexual motor running it takes a female that must be an 8 or better (on my scale of 1-10) . To put that in perspective for those reading this I consider Jennifer Lopez a 9.5. If I posted a pic here of my ex wife I would prob have guys paying me for her digits ... lol! I have just always set my bar high and have been blessed to have many very beautiful girlfriends. Being recently divorced and back out in the dating scene has given me a second round at the beautiful ladies. The "hobby" is a quick & painless way to satisfy my high limit & need for the time with a beautiful female. I said all this to get to my point. We as "hobbyists" have the distinct advantage over the providers. We get to pick and chose our companion. We all have likes & dislikes but the provider has to bring her "A game" of acting when the session begins if she is just not into you. She must pretend to be into you if she wants it to go well and her precious reviews not become tainted. I have gotten to know a few providers pretty good and I have the utmost respect for what they provide... def more than an orgasm!  I just sometimes don't think it is fair for them.

you feel you are unworthy, or you wouldn't have rambled on about how ordinary you are and how exquisite you like your women.  money is the great equalizer when you can't offer anything else.  pay them more to level the playing field

I've only dated attractive women. My ex was hotter than hell in her day. I didn't go out with overweight or "average" looking girls.  

If a provider can't be successful in this line of work then she can do something else for a living. So when you take your emotional attachment out of the equation you will think more clearly.

I look like Brad Pitt, and am hung like John Holmes but I gotta pay too.....isn't that why this is a hobby for guys and a job for the ladies? Am I missing something, other than you being narcissistic?

there is a double standard in "real life" and it exist in the hobby also.

Also, if you haven't worked out for 15 years+ you might not have such an "above average build" as you think....

Being on the opposite side, I try to find qualities in my clients that are attractive, even when their physical appearance falls short. I'll pick the respectful, kind, good hearted, genuine client 100 times out of 100 vs an attractive gent. I'm sure I don't speak for everyone, but what's inside is much more important to me than appearance.  
The unfair aspect of this hobby is that many (gents) simply do this to put another notch on their belt and go gossip about it via a fuck board...  not to just have a wonderful time and enjoy themselves.  

This attitude is consistent in EVERY great provider IMHO.
I've taken lots of provider friends on trips and ALL of them have this same unique ability!

But during a period of introspection I was able to identify the cause. I was letting the dreaded big head do the thinking. When I get horny, the little head takes over and he don't worry about none of that shit!

I exercise & run daily. I climbed 14000 feet in the Rocky Mountains at age 40 with no altitude sickness or fatigue.... but windburn was a different story. I no longer work out regularly because I broke my back in 2007 ...had lower lumbar fusion to L5 L4 S1 in 2011. I was walking 3 miles only one week after my surgery. The fact that I worked out regularly for 25 years is reason alone for my fit physic. I have an above average body for a 48 yo.  ..... this I am certain
