JAX is probably one of the worst places to be right now if you don't already have a place to stay. Rooms there, just like any Superbowl hosting city have been sold out for almost a year for this weekend, starting Thursday. If you did get a room, you are paying probably four times the going rate. The city is bring in ships on the St. Charles river to house people and those have been sold out for months now as well at about $1,500 a night!

Long story short, if you are going down there and don't have a place yet, check the nearby cities like St. Augustine and Amilia Island area. Heck you may even need to go down to Daytona. Luckily I have friends I'm staying with. It has worked out for me for the last 5 Superbowls that I was fortunate enough to have people in the city I knew to crash with. When it goes up to Detroit though, I may have to pass. That is THE WORST city for an NFL team. The stadium is about 1 hour from the city and Detroit in Feb. doesn't really appeal to me, even with the new Casinos and Windsor being across the river. I guess I'll put those tickets on eBay. When I get them. I may have to take a lose. LOL

But only to work.  But do get to see the game from the field.  Maybe a Yippee..
