I have been ding this for quite some time and I have noticed when I first began I would see an Escort about 1-2 times per month. The more great experiences I have enjoyed the more often I partake! I now see 5-6 women per month and it sure is a ball! Anyone else spend an obscene amount of money of this hobby and in my opinion it is $ well spent

I am happily divorced, and I too have to laugh at my married friends who have to find ways to scrape a few bucks in cash together to do virtually anything, despite having healthy incomes because the wife and kids are bleeding them dry.

I know many people on the boards think I am rich, but I don't make anywhere near as much money as I am sure some people think I make. It's just that like you, I don't have a wife or kids sucking up all my cash, so I am free to see a different lady every day if I want to, or a couple a day when I am on vacation like I am right now

I tried like Caldon to take a look at it and am in the same boat, however I have not been in the hobby as long.  I have enjoyed every dollar if it thought, has kept me sane.....

I too over the last 20 years could have bought a house but sure have had fun and as a sex addict it sure beats the other addictions

 Yeah, that didn't work quite as well as I had hoped.  
   
 Over the past 30 years - yes it has been that long - I reckon that I could have bought a small house or condo with what I have spent. Or a very nice German sports car.  
   
 I am about the same as Bluesky - I try and balance with agency girls and BP ones - both for variety and also to get the dollar cost average down ( economics in the hobby yay)  
   
 As far as would I do it again, probably, but then again what addict would say otherwise

It's gonna cost a lot of money; as much as I've spent on the hobby since June of this year!

They say that the first step in recovery is to recognize that you have a problem.  

I have been hobbying for 15 years and have spent (to me) a TON of money in the hobby. I do not regret one cent. However, I do have a family, kids, and grandkids. Nor do I regret one cent that I have spent on them. I would suggest to those that do regret or begrudge the money spent on family and kids that they need to change their perspective or get out of a bad family life. For those who regret the money spent in the hobby - stop. It's that simple.

By my estimations, from 1966 to 2008 I spent nearly $200,000 on cigarettes. That would have bought a pretty decent number of hours with hookers (adjusting for inflation).

They used up all their savings, kids trust funds on seeing me & it is wild to say the least how addicting this hobby truly can be.

In 2 weeks I will partake in my second overnight arrangement with a provider. This is where I think the money really starts adding up. However, like most have said, my first overnight I did not feel bad about and I am sure I will not regret this one either.

Self discipline, will power and ability to make once on decision are human characteristics we don't see that much anymore. Instead, we resort psychologists and drugs.

I will have to know someone whole lot more and feel very comfortable for an overnight. It is not just sex, it has whole lot more and it can't be some facade you put up when you are awake.
