After having a wonderful time with a provider I had seen for the first time, I was shocked when she asked me for MY number.  I gladly gave it to her, but never thought she'd call.  From time to time she actually did call looking to set something up away from the "agency."  However, for some strange reasons we were never able to get the timing right and then I didn't hear from her for a while.  So I managed to see her again via the "agencey" and once again she wanted to contact me outside the agency, but I didn't hear from her for nearly a year.  Then one day when I was feeling so randy I couldn't take it anymore and was looking on TER for some relief, she calls looking to hook up that afternoon as if she sensed my cosmic signals.  That worked perfectly for me, but that was around Aug. of last year and I have not heard from her since.  And yes she has given me her cell number(s) but as is par for the business it always changes.  Oh well, at least it worked out good on one occasion.

It has been a few weeks now but I had a provider call me.  I had called her a few months before and we talked on the phone a while.  I just decided she wasn't the one for me.  Out of the blue she calls me and tells me she had saved my number and she was running a special.  On top of just suddenly calling, it was not at a good time.  I don't know if she was in need of money, had got busted and was trying to set me up, or really just called to say she was running a special.  Just wandering what your opinions are.

PS  She is not around any more, but did have reviews here.

Providers saving your number and calling with "Specials" (they need money) is not so uncommon.  It's typically a good idea not to call on a phone you don't want to be called back on--though you can always ask a provider not to call you on that line!  This is especially true when you call an agency and then the line goes to a machine, whether you leave a message or not, you can expect to get a call back, "Did someone at this number just call for an escort?"  This has happened more then once!

From a provider stand point, this behavior is totally unacceptable. After all, in this hobby "discretion" is key. A true professional would never....save your number to call you with special offers. We can utilize the boards for that. Most hobbyist check the boards frequently enough to notice our specials. I will go so far as to say,if I happened to miss a call from a potential client, unless the client left a message with instructions to call him back, I wouldn't return the call. I would hope that he would try reaching me again at his convenience. I do this not to be rude, but sometimes the guy will leave a message stating, he's seeking to schedule an appt. this afternoon (or something like that) However, I don't know where he's calling me from or if it's convenient for me to return the call at all. He could've wanted to see me spur of the moment, and has since gone on to take care of his responsibilities with the wife & kids, who knows? So I wait, & most of the time he'll call back. As for this young lady, if she was just desperate for funds, she could've possibly, discreetly emailed you with her special. (I don't suggest this method either)In closing, this young lady used poor judgement & was way out of line for calling you.

Just My .02 cents

. . . And, sometimes it's good to mention that those providers who are computer savvy (especially those that are "TER Friendly") tend to be the cream of the crop and follow the professional guidelines that you've mention Tanya, but the situation lovinu brought-up is still not that uncommon.  Those of us who have been around have read many a thread where a hobbyist has gotten into trouble when saved phone number and/or an unexpected phone call came from providers; or, that true professional provider who gets busted with a warehouse of phone numbers saved on her hard drive!

Let the buyer beware!

I happened to contact this lady because I read a review you wrote.  Light skin, big butt, & big eyes.

Actually, it happens to me all the time--but I have a phone specially set-up for hobbying!

:)

I myself would never call a buddy unless he had already told me to I have many friends I call and chit chat with but I think from a providers point of view.. that calling to say that you are having a yard sale is  classless as heck..
sorry for your troubles.. dont let that H@@ker give us all a bad rap.. hugs and kisses deanna

and they get your number or email address, then keep calling or emailing you to see them "on the side" when they either need money, or they are trying to build up their own list of clients.  Sometimes they don't seem to want to take "no" for an answer, and they can call at the absolute worst of times.

There are many services and providers who call.  I have been on the road and talked to a service, who apparently will just page everyone who works for them and man does that suck!  Next thing you know, you are getting calls for the next 3 hours.

The other one is providers who you see once or twice and they call you to try to entice.  This can be sexy if you know them very well and have a strong rapport, but other than that, it just ends up sounding desperate and suspicious.

Now when you call a provider you have seen on occassion and she talks dirty on the phone to lure you over, that is very sexy.

I had this happen as well, and I was NOT happy.  Nothing like sitting next to your wife on the couch and getting a cell phone call from a bubbly voiced, very loud and enthusiastic female.

I played the "wrong number" game, and shut my phone off.  She left me a confused voicemail, and I had to call her back the next day to ask her to never call me again.

I did not go back to her.
