Would appreciate others thoughts on the new Trapeze configuration. Visited there last night and was a bit disappointed with the new layout. When we signed in they offered a tour of the Diamond VIP area and a one-night upgrade for an additional $80, which we declined. In retrospect, we should have at least taken the tour. Would appreciate others perspective.
As a preamble, the hot tubs had malfunctioned the night before, and that area was closed off. That certainly had to have colored our experience.
In the old layout, most of the play space comprised the elevated platforms in the lounge/pool area and the 7 or so open cubicles in the couples only area. All were open to observers and/or folks sharing the space. There were a couple of private rooms. In the new (non-vip) part there is one open bench/bed in the lounge area and six private rooms, two pairs of which are separated by a glass wall, one of which has curtains. We used one of those rooms for almost an hour and left the door open. My lady was continuously orgasmic and very vocal so we attracted some watchers, which is fine with us. However, the other doors seemed to be always closed. Other than one BJ we observed, we saw no sexual activity outside the private rooms. Saw a couple on the open bench/bed watching the porn on the tv. Take away the tv porn and the atmosphere seemed more like a cocktail party with people wearing towels than a hedonistic outing. My lady and I opted for the towel over the shoulder rather than as a wrap, as did a couple of other couples, but modesty seemed to be the rule. A number of the ladies were wearing lingerie plus a towel. I'm not particularly voyeuristic or exhibitionistic, but as any attendee of Ginger's parties can attest, being surrounded by a bunch of nekkid people gettin' it on is a pretty good aphrodisiac. That's the atmosphere that seemed to be lacking to us.
Would appreciate any observations. Maybe it was just a down night because of the hot tub closure. Maybe it's worth the add'l to do the VIP. Don't want to write off going back, but probably wouldn't if last night was typical.
