How about gender?

If you are a male or female provider should you also see both genders so not to discriminate?

Recently a member of the Boston board community posted regarding his frustration with a local agency. According to the poster, he was refused services because he is black. Other threads relevant to this topic have appeared this week on the Florida, Boston, Atlanta and National boards.

This topic goes beyond the issue of racism. Some would say that providers should see everyone. We know that, realistically, this is not the case. Some ladies impose age restrictions or weight or other restrictions related to physical appearance as well as race restrictions. What is the answer?

A. See everybody or get out of the business.

B. The other restrictions are okay but restrictions based on race are not.

C. It’s her body; she can impose whatever restrictions that she feels necessary.

D. The answer is C but she must tell us about it upfront.

E. [Your solution]

This is a hot button topic without question. Take a look at the existing threads.

I vote for C.  A provider has the right to be as restrictive in her service as a bank has in granting a loan. If this provider chose not to see a gentleman based on race then so be it. What about age height weight, mental stability?  If a provider imposes such restrictions....so be it.  She also implies a inancial resrtiction also in the form of a fee.  Since this is still a free based economy, I say that a providercan impose the restrictions she so choses... especially for her safety!

This has been discussed before in this community, I see no value in discussing it again.  Nothing good will come from it..  Way to emotional and no answer that will satisfy a majority..

Although I like the thought of BigT5 hammering Blondie!!

We gentlemen restrict the ladies we visit, possibly by these very same criteria (race, age, weight, etc). Why, I'll bet some of us are even so restrictive that something as insignificant as breast size would make a difference in seeing a lady.  :-)

The ladies should, of course, have that same right, particularly considering the intimacy of this business and the risks involved. We all make decisions everyday based on certain criteria. We discriminate as such, and, as long as the decision is not based on hatred, I see nothing wrong with that.

I have my preferences (of course), but have seen ladies of a few different races over the years. Race does not seem to be a deciding factor as to whether they are enjoyable company.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.
