Flu, Cold, Viruses...

This shit is REAL this year. Just about everyone in my offices has come down with some version of a virus this season. We've all had flu shots, but that didn't stop flu for some. Maybe it lessened the effects. But that's about all, if that. And the colds. Oh my GAWD!!! I came down with a cold this year. First time in years. Nearly killed me. Ended up going to my doctor. His nurse told me I didn't belong at his office, that I belong at the hospital. Doc came in and sent me to the ER right away. Pneumonia had set in. All I knew was that I felt like I was dying. Today for the first time in over over a week I feel halfway alive again.

On that note, I had a session tentatively scheduled with a provider for last Wednesday. I called her Monday and let her know I was sick and not getting better. I told her I could not see her under the circumstance. To my surprise she told me that if I wanted to come I still could, that she wasn't concerned about catching my cold. She was serious too. Not just being nice given that I've seen her I don't know how many times. Here's my advice: If you are a client or provider and have one of these cold-like viruses DO NOT go through with a session. I'm telling you, this stuff is deadly this year more so than others.

I'm still not out of the woods with my cold. But today I finally was able to get out and do something. Decided to rid myself of some old ammo. Set up my range and fired over 3,000 rounds of various calibers. Cleaned up all my hardware. Put everything back where it belongs. Now I'm thinking about pussy again. But I have to completely get rid of all remnants of this virus first.

As if we didn’t already have enough to worry about with VD and STD’s

And dirty guns shoot more true so you're not fooling anyone .

" cleaned up all my hardware " hahahaha.

that stay home and don't spread contagious viruses and colds.  I also run another business and I always polite tell them on the phone, when they are sick, to please send someone else or wait until they are well.  I clean and spray with Lysol and wash my hands frequently but still got the flu this year and I had the vaccine too.  I hate getting sick and it also puts one of my  family members in grave danger of catching something from me and end up with pneumonia.  It's just not worth it..  But some people won't stay home and I don't know how they go to work and go out.  I am a real big baby and curl up in bed when I get that sick.

Glad your feeling better!

It was a cold on steroids. I don't usually get these things, but it was a killer. It was one of the worst strains I've ever had and I had to work while I had it. Totally, 100% agree--if you are sick, you lump it and cancel. Whether you are a customer or a provider, it's just the right thing to do.

Tuesday morning I woke up with a scratchy throat. Later in the day I felt cold. Went to bed at 5pm and was really. Went to the doctor due to this bad flu going around. The doctor said I caught it early and gave me prescriptions. Also suggested wearing a mask for 2 days. Went to the drug store for meds and one med was on order and all masks were sold out due to most having the flu.
