Yes, I know I'm not a provider, but know of 2 that have had some problems doing what you asked about. Biggest piece of advice - have a plan to get home, if you need to do so. If he's paying for the travel, have it in your name so you can change the return, if you need to. There are several more pointers if you do not get enough info from other providers.
