To Be or Not to Be a Latina.....That is the Question

It has been brought to my attention that "people" have been asking if I'm really Latina (a.k.a. Hispanic, Latin, Spanish}  Well, I am....I don't how I can prove it short of giving out my mother's telephone number....which will never happen.  

My mother is from the Dominican Republic.  This island is shared with Haiti.  Most of the people there are from African(slaves) and Spanish (Spain)descent as Haiti is of African (slave)and French (France) descent.  My father is just a southern good old boy from around the way.  If you pay attention to baseball a lot of your Latino players are Dominican and they look "black" with straighter hair. Example: Sammy Sosa

So the best I can do is this:  Soy una Latina.  Me encanta mi pais, mi emcanta mi sangre, me encanta mi historia. Yo se quien  soy.  Yo tengo la mancha de la isla sobre todo mi cuerpo.  Yo soy una Latina con todo mi corazon!!  Vive el Republica de Dominicana!!!
