Ok, let Me get this straight...

you are going to semi-retire because of what people on the message boards think?

You know, I see people on here get attacked and I see them stress over it and waste their own time and energy on trying to defend themselves. For what? This is the internet its not the real world and its not your life.  Noone should let anyone run them over like this over a few exchanged words.  Its stupid and a waste of time to let someone try to hurt your buisiness and in all reality it's really not them but you if you let them do it to you.  I blow shit off and don't sweat it.  I see where you said something about your roomate or an old roomate trying to get you busted.  If it were Me, I would be like "busted for what"? "what did I do wrong"?  So what you might have to tighten up your screening process, personally I feel it's something we should all do.  I never see anyone I don't feel socially compatiable with anyway.  When someone calls Me for an appointment I like to have a short conversation with them and let the 2 of us get to know eachother a bit.  So now whats your option? to be picky? Nothing wrong with that.  Just remember this. . .

If you show your ass people are going to look and have something to say.

So just chill and remember if you start a topic that is defensive people are going to react.  Don't hand someone dynomite and match sticks and ask them not to light it.

You know I don't know you and have never seen you before but I need say what I feel. I have had to jobs in the past 32 years. One lasted 29 years and the other just ended. People always have different opinions or imprssions about your talent of abilities.
It doestn't matter what anybody else thinks. If you say  this is what I am then be that. Don't be what someone else expects. Do all to make people believe that you are what you say you are.

Talk about your original Drama Queen,  sheesh!!  Get mugged, get robbed, running gun battles with Hobbyists, unreturned phone calls, lost telephone, uninformed fictional posts about publishing and writing, etc....it's one thing after another with you.  Perhaps you should find another line of work, preferrably one that doesn't demand any accountability and one where people will sit and listen to your nonsense.  Grow up!!

Most of the ones out to get you are (from my research) are the ones jealous of you. Maybe it is someone you have worked for that is upset you no longer work for them. I know this from personal experience myself. Or, maybe it is fellow independents jealous of you. Unfortunately, there are a few that are that way. Thankfully, most are not. Do not let the few make you so upset as you are.
