Getting busted

After watching the local news story about the Atlanta Vice Squad last night I was wondering, what happens to the custumers who are busted in a sting operation? Do you go straight to the pokie? Do you have to bond out? How long do you have to stay in jail? It sounds like it is getting dangerous to play here in town.

They usually bust clients by setting up a site or putting an ad up.  The girl is undercover LE.  It's pretty simple for you guys to screen too.  All you have to do is come here to TER, check for reviews, ask other hobbiest about a girl you are intersted in, I am sure people will help with your research.

Lets Keep safe.

It's the end of the month and the city needs some serious cash.

From my limited first hand experience, in the County but not within Atlanta City limits: The client was questioned (in order to provide L/E with additional information to charge the woman with) All of the gentlemen present at the time have always been released in the situations I am personally aquainted with first hand knowledge of. Of course you should keep in mind YMMV !!

Some places issue a ticket where you have to show up in court. Some make you bond out,and some will search your car for weapons and drugs. If they find anything they will use it to get a search warrant for your home. This is getting out of hand.

Well if they search your car unless you are in your car they are not legal able to do so unless they are in the process of impound.

Tell it to the Judge... They will do this just to make you hire a lawer to defend yourself.  Lawyer fees = fine   get the picture????

Most of the time when the vice gets us ladies.. no customers are involved..
They are pretending to be the customer..
the lady gets busted for escorting without a license and running a business without a permit..
then you go to jail.. till you go to court.. then you get to bond out ..
unless.. you have the judge i did back in 2000 when i got bused at the westin  her hubby had left her for an escort so she took it out on me and left my get outta jail papers on her desk for the weekend so i couldnt get out till monday ..
in the end.. all they want is some money and a blood test

That's toooo funny.  I'm sure it wasn't at the time but you have to appreciate the irony.  Thanks for the best laugh in days  Deanna......

The lady that prosecuted me .. well she has or had a husband... about a year later he became a client .. when he was telling me his wife was a prosecutor in atlanta .. and discribed her to me.. we had a hell of a laugh ...

Assuming you get arrested for something, anything, when and where and how much your bond is set at depends on the charges.

Some charges require you to have a bond hearing before a judge.  Others have a predetermined standard bond.  The jail does a pre-bond screening to check and see if you have any outstanding warrants, pending charges, prior convictions etc.

If you have to see a judge but you don't have any outstanding warrants, pending charges, priors etc. and the charges are minor then the judge may release you on your own recognizance "ROR".

I am not sure how the jail determines if you can be released "ROR" if you are not required to have a bond hearing.  I know it happens in some cases but don't know the details.

You can be held for up to 72 hours without a bond hearing, so if you get arrested on a holiday and require a bond hearing you may sit for a while.

Even after your bond is set, and posted (whether you have to pay, or you get to "ROR") you can still sit for a long time waiting to be processed out.  Especially in Fulton County.

In Fulton they generally only release people by mistake who are extremely dangerous and not supposed to be released.  They also occasionally let people out during the filming of rap videos.

Assuming you are trying to get out legally on bond, you require paperwork and processing.  That can take up to a few days to complete even after your bond is posted.
