Hey ladies and gentlemen.
I’ll be staying in Atlanta next week and was wondering what’s the best area to stay ?
I want to book a hotel in the area that most provides stay so I’m close and not dealing with long travel and traffic when I book an appointment.
Ladies where do you usually stay in Atlanta?
This will be my first trip to Atlanta and any input would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Usually the perimeter or galleria! Have a great stay

Thank you .
I really appreciate it.

With Teri Perimeter, Galleria or Buckhead

Just an FYI, I no longer see providers in Buckhead. Why?

#1 - Crime is high--I got my car broken into at a hotel there once and couldn't even call the police to report it as... well, what am I doing at a hotel in Buckhead in the middle of the day when I'm supposed to be at a Dr's appt in Dunwoody?

It's also insanely congested. It can take as long or longer just to drive there and park than you will spend with the provider.

Parking is a challenge as well. Nothing like getting to the providers hotel to be told that you need a room number to park there. Then, you need a room key in many cases just to GET to the room. Nothing like playing Easter egg hunt before your scheduled appointment.

Then, you get the luxury of paying for parking when in most any other area of Atlanta, it's free.

Plus, you get to deal with waterboys, homeless people hanging around your car, people living in their cars at the hotel parking lot... sounds like fun, right?

Perimeter, Galleria, and Peachtree Parkway are easier for most to get to, will save you money, and make it easier on your guests. I hope more providers will consider one of these areas instead.

Fortunately, I've managed to avoid the problems you've experienced. For one thing, I bypass using hotel parking. Since I'm in decent health, I either park at a nearby shopping center or take the MARTA train to one of the area stops, depending on the hotel, and walk to the hotel. There are still some hotels that don't make visitors jump through hoops to visit a guest. Your host should know which ones they are.

If you plan to stay in the perimeter area, make sure it’s on the Sandy Springs side, not the Dunwoody side. A lot of us won’t outcall to Dunwoody because they have a vice squad and regularly conduct stings.

I was browsing to refresh my info on the ATL area and this kind of sucks to read. Have some fall plans.
Had been considering Dunwoody again (outside of Buckhead or Midtown) but hmmmm.

Perimeter Area  and/or Galleria.  Also, if you're here on business, I'd factor in where your business meetings are taking place.  Traffic can be horrible.  Near a MARTA Train area can help minimize the traffic issues.  Can take it all the way to and from the airport with just a few bucks.

My favorite areas to book a hotel are Galleria/Smyrna, Vinings, Perimeter/Sandy Springs, Marietta, and Peach Tree Corners.
