Apparently we have some folks that post here that it would seem cannot imagine someone planning one week in advance i.e. that you are asking the question in advance of arriving here in atlanta next weekend. That being said now the answer to your question-Mets play the Braves @ 130pm close by and should you be seeking more stimulation the adult clubs clubs open around 1pm and that would keep you busy for the day-Pink Pony @ Oasis would be the clubs to visit however it will be not as lively as nights or the rest of the week or you could take a trip to the top of the largest piece of exposed granite in north america-Stone Mountain.

I'll be in town next Sunday, September 19th for the Atlanta Falcons vs Philidalphia Eagles football game. As you are probably aware, the game time for this game is 8:20 pm.
Since i am unfamiliar with the area, can anybody give me some suggestions on things i can do during the day prior to heading to the football game.
Posting a week in advance will help me in my planning.
thanks for your time.

====================

Granted his post was pretty poorly written, but not that hard to understand.
But, what do i know, i could be wrong about the whole thing :-)

.........if you're a typical Phillies/Flyers/Eagles' fan then you would fit right in at  Bulldog's on Peachtree in Midtown. If you're a Vick guy then the best time might be Gibson's on Fairburn Rd. in Douglasville, Ga. Make sure you wear that green #7. They'll love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.......... then you might understand my first thought of what goes around comes around.

 The Pony is fun, but if you're staying downtown and without transportation then get a towncar service instead of trusting a cab otherwise you may not make it back to the dome. Don't let somebody talk into getting somethng to eat before the game anywhere around the dome. Dantana's is shoulder to shoulder before the games as is any of the other places in CNN. Stats sports bar in Luckie / Marietta isn't bad and it's an easy walk to the stadium plus there are plenty other places to eat and drink next to it. If you're staying by the airport don't let some idiot talk you into taking MARTA unless that green jersey is #7 plus you better check when the last train heads back that way. if you need a cab go the Omni or walk up to the Westin.

Last if you really want to have fun before the game then call one of these girls here in Atlanta because there a ton of hot ones !

Have fun and the Eagles suck ! I hope Abraham swings #7 around in circles and plants him head first into the 50 yardline

OUT !
