Hello Gentlemen! I am just trying to pick your brain here and see which you all prefer. I guess between the two which is easiest or more convenient to get to. Your feedback is helpful! Please do pm if you don't wish to post in this thread. Thanks so much!

She must be damn special for me to go Buckhead. But then again, I don't live in Metro Atlanta and have a helluva time navigating the traffic. It's much easier to find a hotel or condo in the Perimeter.

Much easier for me. Others may feel different.

But the Perimeter is a good choice as well.

I come from out of town, don't know where I'm going, and usually have a hard time finding the hotel. And then it's almost always valet parking, which I find annoying. I like to be able to sit in my car and get some last minute things done before going in.

I prefer Buckhead.  Nothing wrong with the Perimeter but Buckhead is easier for me.  That said the Perimeter is probably going to be a better choice for your visit.  It is easier for most people to get to as it has easier access to multiple interstates.  Very little surface street navigation required.  So less concern about getting lost.

Perimeter area can be a nightmare for traffic. What about locations off 75 or 400?

For me, the Perimeter is more convenient as far as driving, but with what's been going on there the last few months, I'd rather avoid it.  In fact, my ATF b-lined it out of there as fast as she could.  So Buckhead is fine by me.  I'll drive anywhere to meet with someone special.

So while I prefer a shorter drive, I'll take security over convenience any day.

Perimeter marginally more accessible for more folks.  Buckhead a bit more upscale image, especially for hotels.  Rush hour traffic awful for both.  The LE focus in Perimeter area has been on high visibility agencies and apartment buildings that become incall clusters.  I've not heard of any hotel busts.  ATL LE seems more interested in real crime.  Hope this helps.

Perimeter and Buckhead are choked with traffic. A lot of the hotels in Buckhead require valet parking ($20 in some cases) and room keys (try looking inconspicuous as you scour a hotel lobby for a hidden room key).

Trying to get anywhere between Phipps and Paces Ferry is a nightmare, so I typically avoid the area. The Perimeter is slightly better, but not much. I've been caught on Ashford-Dunwoody for 20 minutes just trying to get a few blocks.

I'd like to see providers hit more off the beaten path areas with less traffic like Norcross, Alpharetta, Peachtree Corners, etc. These are relatively easy to get to and have **much** less traffic, so it's easier to schedule on lunch hour or if you're short on time, which most of us are who live here.
