Snap, thanks for participanting on the board.  As I understand it, DATY is not as risky as fs, but still there is a risk.  I see that you're asking this question all around, so I imagine you're serious about a good answer.  I invite all readers who want to add to this discussion to please feel free.  My advise is to use protection with all activities--take that for what it's worth.  Thanks again for participanting.

Hey, I know this has bound to have came up many times, but I need some quick advice. I am set up with a provider in the next few days that I know from reviews that she realy likes DATY. Well, I like it to(very much), but only with my WIFE. I am so tempted to do this that the slightest request for my dining will result in a serious dive. The problem is that I am worried about STD. My question is "What is the risk in this & is there any warning signs to back off from this delightful meal"???
TIA

It is my understanding there is no definitive evidence either way, but given there certainly a chance of exposure to STD there is no  way I would take the chance. There a number of good websites where you can get info, www.cdc.gov, Web MD,. Medscape, and my personal favorite MD Consult ( this is a paid service but you can get a trial membership for free and get all the info you need) I am truly surprised by the number of reviewers who report dinning. I  sometimes think that perhaps it really happens more in the reviews than in real life. In any event I would bet a large number of Hobbyist already know better. Bottom line, have a good time AND stay safe.

I also get concerned when I read hobbyist who dine.  My opinion, play as safe as you can!

It is risky just as getting a BBBJ is. I've requested a cover even from lady's who are more than willing to provide bare service because of the fact that it adds a higher degree of safety. I know just engaging in this activity brings a degree of risk, but I would rather tip the odds more in my favor than to risk my health for a few hours of pleasure.

The risk is small but still greater than not engaging at all in DATY. If you feel the need to engage, I would suggest bring a dental dam. Some of the adult stores like inserection are carrying them now.

If your gums are bleeding or inflamed from lets say brushing, I would advise you not to engage. There are several STDs that can be transmitted through DATY if you are open. Herpes on your lip is a bitch to explain to your wife. Hepetitus is just as bad.

As in all things, this is a decision you have to make for yourself to feel comfortable with. Just know that the risk you are taking also involves your wife as well if you do happen to pick something up.

Okay all you bare lover's out there. Let me have it. LOL
