Well, two weeks ago I went in for what was supposed to be routine outpatient surgery. Turns out it was anything but routine. I almost died twice and wound up spending two weeks in the hospital, including a few days in the ICU!

I wound up having a second, emergency surgery, to correct some serious complications. I was scared, several times thinking I was never going to make it out of the hospital. Fortunately, my surgeon is amazing. She patched me back together, and even brought in a few specialists to help out. I have her to thank for getting me out alive.

I just got out this week. Now I have to convalesce for a few weeks, and then I'll be back in "action" as it were. There's no way I was going to let everyone else have all the fun without me. I have some serious catching up to do on the boards as I've obviously been out of it for a little while. I look forward to rejoining the great Atlanta TER community! Have fun and stay safe everybody.

I had a hospital stay similar to yours a few years ago so I understand how you feel my friend!
Welcome back!

Glad to hear you're doing better. Get well soon

So sorry to hear about all this but I am so happy you came out of all this! Hope you will be back in a flash :)
Wishing you well Mr indestructable :)
Hugs and kisses
TL

had a few surgerys plus rehab.you will get better. Good luck

I appreciate all the well wishes, it means a lot. Right now I'm not medically cleared to drive, so I'm stuck inside and bored stiff. But, rest assured I'll be back better than ever. And the first provider I see best take some Wheaties and vitamins because it'll have been about 8 weeks by then and I'll be more than ready to go. If you catch my meaning. ;-)

Im soooooooooooo sorry! Same thing happened to me... They gave me Peritonitis and to be honest that was worse than the Cancer!!! Im praying for your complete return to health. Take it easy at first Sugarplum!
