Discussion topic: Providers ASKING for tips.................Your thought gentlemen and ladies.

I was reading Gozilla's review of a relatively new lady named Parker and in his review he stated this

"Before I left, I tipped her another $25 on her request, on top of the $175 that I already paid her. Her point was that my session was 5 minutes over my scheduled length (actually only 25 out of 35 minutes was used because she was on the phone for 10 minutes)"

Earlier in the review, he stated she got a call that she remained on for 10 minutes of "his" time.

He took it like a nice guy, but this really seemed inappropriate on the ladies part to ask for a tip.  Please, discuss, share your thoughts.

Personally I do not think a provider should ever after request a tip. The rate for her time should be set in advance and that should be it. If the provider wants more she should quote more up-front.

I have never had a provider request a tip but it she did that would guarantee she did not get one. I also have the same reaction to up charging. Unless it a case where I know if advance that full service will be more, I will never agree to an up charge.

Providers have a right to set their rate but hobbyists have a right to know what the provider expects in advance.

Personally I am brand new, but my friend who is a veteran has informed me to turn off my phone at all times when catering to a gentleman, and I can't see it any other way....that is the least you deserve our undivided attention...HELLO! How rude, if that happened to me I would ask for a discount or better yet just laugh, and tell her she has got to be joking!!! Newbies are always treading the heals of those older more jaded escorts, I hope we set a better standard..I know I'll try!

Not all older providers are jaded.. and being independant means we set our own standards.. I for one never ask for a tip.. and the only time i ever use the phone is in case my one of my children has an emergency.. Good luck in the biz but dont think all of us old timers are bad news .. kisses and licks . deanna

I think that asking for tips is a very unprofessional business practice.  While receiving a tip is nice, it's never expected with me.  As for upcharging... I don't think that should ever happen either!!!  That's the same as asking for a tip IMHO.

The donation that I request is for my time... and when you give that to me, it's no longer my time, but yours to do with what you choose, within reason and respecting my limits.

Just my .02.

Jaclyn :)

I agree. I think a provider needs to be up front and state her rate and time, nothing more shold be expected. If the session is felt to be above and beyond I have been known to tip.

IMHO, It is all about who you pick. This is the reason, I don't see anyone affliated with an Agency. My rule, my choice.

Never had a bad experience with independants. Thank you ladies!

Sheesh, talk about a clockwatcher.  More money for 5 minutes.  I would have just walked out and not tipped her anything.  Especially when she spent 10 minutes of your time on the phone with someone else.  I can understand the guy trying to be nice, but, you have to have limits as to the amount of BS you will deal with.

providers should never ask for tips. I've had a couple doing that to me, and I've never returned. On the other hand if the lady provides a great session then I'm quite happy to tip. I can't believe the guy paid, especially aftr she spent 10 minutes ont he phone.

My lawyer, doctor and accountant don't ask for nor do I tip them. They make about the same as my escorts. If a lady is a professional in her business and wants to be treated that way....she won't ask for one either. I do however get much more pleasure from the ladies and enjoy being around them more than the other profesionals....so, I do sometimes tip the ladies that put a larger smile on my face. : )

Personally I have NEVER asked for a tip,(heck come to think of it, I have never had anything negitive happen on a call in the year I have been doing this on-line)...I have been presented with a few, and thats OK if the Gentleman feels that they would like to on their own accord,....but to ask for one??...lmao, sounds like and agencie rule like a place I "used" to work for......and for the reason behind the tip as well...give me a break, 5 minutes over???  I guess by me being Independent I dont schedule as close as some may in between the appointments. I feel that there are to many QUALITY Providers to have to mess with one who isn't, reviews are the main resourse for finding out a Providers reputation and how they handle themselves. We all need to utilize and add to this source whenever we can...just my thoughts....Huggs and Kisses,   TORI

Tips are a sign (but maybe not proof) of dishonest practices.  A low inducement rate, followed by requests for more money for additional activities (when the ultimately desired result never happens) happens in the parts of the business where integrity is not particularly important.

There have been instances where genuine but naive providers believe that this is how money is made.  I suspect that those providers learn quickly that it is a mistake.  Those providers who make it clear that the fees for the time are fixed send a clear message of reliability.
