With the Christmas season approaches among us and all, what does Christmas means to you? Also what are you grateful for in this holiday?

...family, friends, and my good health. I'm also VERY grateful for the mild weather we've been having this year! ;-)

I love this time of year because it puts people in a more generous mood, and no, I don't mean in the hobby, I mean in general. I see more people at this time of year who reach out to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate. Toys for Tots, the numerous food drives, coat drives, etc. I see people reaching out to those who don't have families, in town or at all. It can be such a rough time of year for some. I'm grateful I can be one of those helping others.

I haven't been feeling the best and thanks for your message. That is so true what you say and agreed wholeheartedly with you. Some of us forget the meaning of Christmas and that is true.

To me I feel that Christmas is about spreading the joy and giving to others that haven't got the opportunity to reap it.

What I am thankful for in this holiday season?  I am thankful for besides family and friends: the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, the ability to meet several hobbying guys, also meet several providers that are either friend or foe but still a blessing either way.

One more that I am thankful about is how we as a society help those who are misfortune and can't find a way to help themselves. Right now, there are many people from all walks of life suffering to provide for their family. There are some people even struggling to feed their kids on this holiday season. Also, there are alot of people even in the mist of a tumultuous season. Sometimes, just saying Merry Christmas can bright someone day. Happy holidays to all.

It's unfortunate that we are unable to keep the Christmas spirit throughout the year.

But on a more selfish note I am thankful for a few beautiful, gracious spirits that have been willing to travel beyond the metropolis of Atlanta spreading good cheer with those of us in regions less traveled.  I am sure Woodford aka Candleman would second my sentiments.

Merry Christmas to all and to all happy hobbying.  Cheers to an exciting and adventurous 2016!
