Ok this is random as hell -- but I need to know...
Am I the only one that doesn't wear 'musky' soap these days?

Every "staged" in-call that I go to always has a very hard smelling liquid soap like Old Spice, Brute, or any number of Axe scents

As I come home smelling like Musk Mountain Mist-a-something....I ask myself again "Am I the only one that doesn't wear this stuff?"

Id love to see some more milder scents on the menus ladies and agency owners (the old standards in liquid form: Dial, Dove, etc)

Maybe that sounds bitchy or lady like coming from a guy -- but I hate returning to work smelling like Mountain Mist, Spring Rain, Dirt Trail Morning Dew, Matterhorn Mountain, and any other strong seemingly attempting to cover your own BO scent.

I like smelling like ... nothing --- just clean...not covered in perfumes.  I don't want to be known for 'a signature smell' unless its a light cologne or something.

If I'm being bitchy and pretentious just let me know -- I guess my original question persists.... Am I the only one that doesn't wear 'scented' soaps.  Is that the 'thing' to do now.

How I feel about scenty soaps and male body sprays is comically summed up in this hilarious article

I agree, scented soaps don't work. I am allergic to many scents and perfumes, especially if they are strong. I have to ask the ladies I visit to not wear perfume, as I have to cancel the session if the scent is too much. These men's soaps that are so loud the odor arrives five minutes before the guy does are just too much.
To avoid the problem I bring my own soap in a small bag and take it with me when I leave, storing it and the toothbrush/ toothpaste and comb in a hidden area in my car.

I understand completely!

I am NOT a fan of super strong scents and am pretty picky about the body washes I will use. I also can't stand the plasticy smell even the nicer hotel soaps can't seem to escape. I'm positive there are others who agree with you.

I like some of the Axe stuff if it is used in moderation, but that link is pretty funny.

Ok, now that I've said that I have to agree with you about not wanting to use/wear that stuff or smell like that. I don't use cologne and have not since early high school. (Remember Hai Karate! The commercials were basically the same as the AXE commercials of today. You had to know karate to fight off the women that couldn't do without you once you put it on.) Fortunately the ladies I've seen and agencies I've used have had the incall stocked with unscented or regular scented soap as well as that other stuff. Many do have the Dove Men + Care that I have begun to use.

I'm single now and don't have anyone that would wonder about how I smell after a shower at an incall but I still don't want to wear fragrance. When I'm at the gym and those guys spray that stuff or use the body wash it's all I can do sometimes to keep from gagging until I leave the locker room.

You definitely have a good point. I keep a wide variety of soaps such as dove unscented, dial, also I seem to have a ton of individual soaps so each gent can have his own and toss it when he is through. I do have nivea for men but I like to keep a variety for whatever fits your needs. Soap is a minor expense and I think you guys should have what you need ;)

I prefer that unscented soaps be on hand.  If you come back to work or home smelling like some product you don't use-that is a red flag...I would also ask that the gals refrain from strong perfumes or strong body washes...I specifically recall an evening that after a 2.5 hour session with a gal we decided to go have dinner...I was staying in a hotel so the fragrance wasn't an issue..except...her clothes had a really strong perfume odor that lingered in my car for several days.Fortunately I had a useful excuse and pointed the odor out to the wife whe we got in it to go to dinner when I returned blaming it on a female associate that could have been in the car as well..I call it my "Blame It On Emily Excuse".  The wife bought it...Bullet dodged!  I like the idea of putting unscented soap in my hobby kit-will do !

We don't want to leave smelling like a department store cosmetics aisle.  We need to think about the ladies too and not expect them to deal with all of those man musk smells and tastes.  Leave it home or accept the shower, IMHO.

This would most likely solve your problem. Or you could put in a request ahead of time to have the type of body wash that you want.

I only use Lever 2000 so i understand

...putting a few travel size Dove's in your drawer at work and taking one to your meeting.  I get what your saying and I provide dial... dove...  but it's not a surprise when someone brings their own soap to an appointment.  They want to go home smelling like they did when they left the house that morning. :)

I always ask the ladies to wear nothing but the natural smell of her body, and I do bring my on soap also, just in case...

You arnt the only client that has said something about the soaps. Ive worked in agencies and indi and guys  have always liked when we have the basic non musky soaps. I usuallly have a varity to choose from but it seems that mens dove is always used up first. It just smells clean without being over powering.

I had to buy a bar of soap once, and Dial Cranberry was on sale.  It actually smelled pretty good, and I ended up switching to it as my go to soap.  In the shower at home etc.  Then I was at an in call, and voila--cranberry scented dial!  Awesome.  They've had it for quite some time and I love smelling the same as usual!
