How long should you give a provider to respond when trying to setup an appointment before contacting another provider?  

I had traded emails with one lady, and she responded very quickly at first, but when I attempted to schedule an appointment, she has not responded.  I am not sure if I should continue  to wait, or just book with someone else.  Is there an "acceptable" time period that one should wait?  It has been two days...

I just know that the minute I book with Provider B, Provider A will contact me to confirm...know what I mean

I prefer to use agencies in cities like Atlanta and New York.

I can easily avoid situations like the one you just described.

You can too. Use one of the many excellent agencies in Atlanta and leave scheduling headaches and "no calls, no shows" behind.

I recently emailed a lovely lady and it took her 4 days to get back to me, we set up the appointment, and now I have seen her twice in 4 days.  It is all in how much you want to see her and if she is your only choice.  I try at least 2 providers at a time if I am trying to see an Indy and I just call the agency or set it up with them if I have someone I would like to see.  I have a provider I have emailed 4x with nothing back, but I also know she is very busy and sees only 2 guys a day.  I just have to stay persistent.  So do you.  Always keep 2 handy and whoever gets back first, wins :)

At the risk of starting a flame-out, I always use agencies.  It's been my experience that many of the independents are squirrelly as Hell.  I've had the exact same issues you described.  I've never met an independent who didn't have some sort of drama going on.  It's best to use agencies, they can control the squirrels.

I prefer indies because I just don't feel comfortable having my information on file with an agency. I can see the advantage of using an agency....one stop shopping, only getting screened once, great choice of ladies, etc,  but I've just never felt comfortable with an agency.
Whenever you hear of an agency getting busted wherever.....you hear about the list of clients.
I know the agencies in Atlanta have great reputations and obviously have some great looking ladies with good or great reviews.
I don't know....maybe I'm a little paranoid or too cautious. I'm sure it's my loss.

File is a file is file in whatever form it is filed, digital, index cards or in a brain. It all depends on the person having the information how they will use it or will force them to give it up.

most agencies and their owners, especially the great ones, view their enterprise as an important, viable business.

They will do everything in their power to ensure that nothing impacts their repeat business prospects or tarnishes their reputations.

Most indies, on the other hand, are casual about their enterprise and often use their business to supplement other forms of income. Some are simply undisciplined when it comes to the rigors of maintaining or building a viable enterprise.

As such, most are not as diligent or dedicated to growing their brand and watching their business florish.

Again, I'm speaking in generalities. I'm sure there are a few agencies that are unreliable and don't care about their enterprise. I know there are some indies that could teach businesses a thing or 2 about how to build and run a successful corporation.

Let me add it is conflicting logic; i.e., in the computer age where emails are used your information is filed. When you send an email, it goes through an email server hosted by an ISP and they store it. If you don't believe me, just go to your email using Web access and look at your sent mail folder and see. Most people believe when download an email it is erased, not so. Gmail is prime example you have to delete it.

Paranoia is severe disease. The truth is if someone wants to get you they can and will. LE has other things to do and occasionally, the AG wants to make statement, especially during the silly election season and they stings. If you are smart enough and most are, you won't be in trouble. In any case paranoia and paranormal behavior is not going to save you.

It is worse than that - most email systems backup your email and archive it, so even if you delete it, a copy exists out there somewhere....

don't you hear a lot more about agencies getting busted over indies ? If you see a well reviewed independent that screens, I think that is the safest...but that's just me.

Really I think the most common form of getting caught is seeing somebody without reviews, etc...that shows up on backpage or somewhere. The LE has set up a sting.

Agency busts are big news than an individual arrest for misdemeanor? Something like a small town politician getting involved vs. State or National.

I just don't see an indie getting busted if she's diligent about her screening. Even if she is, I can't see LE going after her previous clients.....where I can see that happening if a high profile agency is.

Seems like LE will attempt to rehabilitate a lone indie.  An agency is a business and is a more attractive target for LE to exploit.

whenever I come to town. Plans B and C can always be scheduled short-notice (1 hour or so). If Plan A calls me after I schedule Plan B or C, I'll tell her what happened. If she will see me again, great; if not, I'll just move on.

Maybe send a PM to other gents who have reviewed her, and ask what's normal?

Maybe send her another message, politely asking what the status is?  (Be careful with that one.  Some providers do not appreciate overly aggressive communication attempts.)

Maybe send the provider some extra booking information, like additional references, etc.  If you are hard to screen, it will take longer for her to reply to you.

You might think, "Where has she been?  It's been two days!"  

The last two days might have been very busy for her, personally, or with other appointments.
