Sorry Moonman but I can't resist a good political discourse.

A former Georgia senator who was a Democrat when there were real Democrats told me, "Political liberalism is a form of insanity; no-one is that stupid." That is a direct quote. He said that back when conservatives were welcome in the party. Modern liberals seem to not tolerate diversity of opinion - they favor only the superficial ethnic diversity. I can't resist pointing out that this is the worst form of stereotyping and the state-of-the-art in narrow-mindedness.

Why is it that the New Left that has hijacked the Democratic Party feels they are the only real Democrats? Go Zell!

I intended to put this in the thread about politics between NetMichelle and MoonMan. I can't imagine what it is doing here.

Perhaps I can find where you intended for your post to be located. Then, maybe the interest will grow even more. Once a full understanding as to your stand point on it is established.

Thinking this is not a good board to discuss politics at all. But, your post did interest me more than any other post here has for a while. I am glad you wrote it. Some others may not wish to read poitical oriented posts here though.

Dig past the demagogic idiocy of some of the more partisan posters on the board and you will find some lively discussions.

Give 'em hell Zell!

Thanks for your compliment; I am truly flattered you found my view so interesting. I am also surprised and pleased at the reception the post has gotten. I was sure I would be vilified for it. And yes I prefer the individualism of the Conservative to the collectivism of the Liberal.

One like this one so that they can talk about thier hobby and another so they can talk about what they believe in.  After all I don't know one conservative that is conservative on everything.

A view favoring no restrictions on hobbying could be considered a conserative view, from the perspective of "no government intervention" and "free enterprise".

Probably more libertarian than anything, but certainly not modern liberalism, where individual rights seem to have been lost.
