be given for reviews? I would think if you couldnt get free VIP from posting a review a lot of the fake ones would stop.  I know there are advatages of it I guess but I would really like to hear what you ladies and gents think of this.
Another question, has everyone had an "O" today? LOL!!
Hugs and kisses

But I hope to have that taken care of soon...

Yes to the free vip.  Let first say I rarely write them and my vip is paid for.

While you get fakes for the freebie you also get so much more participation
of reviewers.  Reviews should be taken collectively to get the true scoop on
a provider so a fake or too shouldn't count.  I will not over react to the Rabkin review.
If it was fake it sucked for Rebecca but she also got a lot of looks too.  If a reviewer is
doing fakes and it is discovered then he should be ban_ned. lol

Which does help our business. We will never know the ratio of guys that only write real reviews because of the free VIP VS fake reviews. I'm sure the fake reviews are lower.

I would however like to know if TER bans someone for writing fakes reviews. Maybe they should have a rule in place for that. Maybe the first time they write a review take away that member advantage to getting the free VIP as a warning. Then if it happens again (which would only be to hurt a provider) they should be banned for good.

I was just thinking, even if he is LE, or just using this as a way to get a free VIP, would it really work as a reference? I mean, if he gave me your info as a reference, you wouldn't be able to verify him, so does it matter? Do some girls just check his screen name and accept that? I'm kinda new, but I'm way too careful not to check with the other girl.

Just sayin

I agree with you about fake reviews and VIP....it's not right.  But, I think VIP for reviews are okay.  Guess TER won't change that.

And no,  I've not had an O yet today....rats!!!!  :)

I agree it would reduce the participation level.  I don't know if that would be good or bad.  If most write fake reviews to get the free VIP, then removing the free vip will work great but if many write real reviews to get VIP, it would hurt both reviewers and providers.
Maybe there is some way TER can show paid members.  A special icon or something by the handle.
btw, I don't think this will help at all with LE.  I'm sure they have the budget for $30 vip, it would be just to disourage the fake reviews.

This question pops up from time to time whenever there seems to be a rash of identified fake or at least questionable reviews posted.  Bottom line is TER sells a product, and that product is access to reviews.  They are not going to do much that jeopardizes their product.  When brought to their attention, they will remove a questionable review and in doing so they also enhance their credibility.  I have no raw numbers to prove my case, but IMO, the majority of reviews are written by those who are not paid members.  If exchanging reviews for free vip was removed, TER would suffer significantly and thus I don't think such a thing would ever be considered.

And on a side note, TER does screen reviews and they have a number of things that they check carefully.  Many reviews are rejected before they are ever posted.  But alas, like everything in life, a careful and clever crook can usually committ a crime for a while.

Therefore TER gives an incentive to write them.

I do however think that TER needs tougher guidelines when approving reviews. For example how does a review get approved the reviewer doesn't know any of the services offered by the provider.

TER how do you let someone get away with listing  Don't know for every service offered??

I mean really how do you fuck someone and have no idea what services they offer!

Nothing major but the system could use some tweaks

When VIP is given away simply for writing reviews, it encourages fake reviews to be written. It almost begs for it.

When you have a policy that allows / encourages fake reviews on a site it does two things.
1. It shows complete disregard and lack of respect for the providers. It puts them in an even more vulnerable position than they may already be in just by the nature of their profession.
2. It completely diminishes any integrity the site may have. When the members of a site know for a fact that there is a certain percentage of reviews that are fake, they then have to question the validity of anything they read on that site.
Anyone that can't afford $30 a month to get valuable, reliable information is too cheap and stupid to fuck anyway.

To answer your other question......I'll do it in song.
Ta rah rah boom de ay......
I've had no O today.....
For one I'd gladly pay....
But I'm too far away.....

Just sayin'

...a few weeks back was turned away and their 'rationed' money not taken?

I'm kidding as any lady can see or do whoever they want. The point I'm making is that if anybody thinks that just because a guy buys  membership that he's not rationing his funds or has more money than someone who wrote reviews to get it is sadly mistaken. It's more likely that a paying VIP is cheating out by NOT seeing many ladies or writing reviews and whacking off to the guy's reviews that actually write them, thus saving money.

Bottom line, would any lady here not take the money if they knew in advance that the guy wrote reviews to get TER VIP? The answer is a big 'NO'. Ha!

Yeah, I too believe if the free VIP was removed, the numbers of reviews would go down significantly. Which is unfortunate, but, just true. Many people start out writing the free reviews and then move on to becoming paid VIP. As with anything in life, the system can never catch EVERY FAKER/OFFENDER, which TOTALLY SUCKS when you are the victim, as in this case, TL is. However, hopefully the "good" of TER far outweighs the "bad", which I personally believe it does. Where else can you find 800,000 reviews? To have as many reviews go through as they do and so few to be claimed as fake, it is actually pretty good system.

TLs point on a reference is that if this guy were to try to see someone that knew TL. I know TL and seeing her reference makes me feel better. However, I would still contact her. But there may be some gals that say 'hey TL has seen him, he must be okay' without ever contacting her. No it's not safe, but it could happen.

I have had no less than 6 reviews removed as proven fakes.  Some scored as high as 9/10.  NONE of those fellas have been banned.  The reviews were removed but their online profile remains as well as their OTHER reviews.

Writing a review, I mean genuine one is a time consuming activity. After spending time, it is crap shoot. Suppose the ones who get VIP by writing reviews have learned how to game the system.

A good compromise could be no more than 1 month per quarter.
