We are just about ready to go live with the new Host and Hostess (Yes. We are going with host and hostess, because it is the easiest way to quickly figure out gender. Given some of your creative usernames, this seems smart.)

We are hoping to have this launched by February 1st.

Customer support will do all moderation on this board. The Host and Hostess will remind everyone of special daily events, answer simple questions and welcome everyone to the board. We are also adding a “Report this Post” feature. “Like//Dislike” and “Ignore this Poster” features will also be added in the coming weeks.

The response from users volunteering was overwhelming. We hope to announce the first Host and Hostess on the 1st. We are going to start out with one month terms starting on the first of every month. We may need to tune this a little, so we all will need to be flexible.

We had several people who suggested the name “Host and Hostess”. We will credit all of these people with the vip days for the suggestion.

Please help us with this transition by remaining flexible and open minded. With positive feedback, we will be able to improve upon already great boards.

I REALLY LOVE the  “Report this Post” feature. “Like//Dislike” and “Ignore this Poster” that will be added! That will stop a lot of the madness. I wish the best for the "Host and Hostess"
I do have one question though. If the Host and/or Hostess feels a new poster may be LE then should they still welcome them? Just an honest question looking for honest answer.

Like and dislike on post makes sense.  Long over due.

But the ignore this poster, will it simply block anything from that individual from popping up on my screen?  How will it work on train wreck post.  If you see one poster generally marked as ignore will you intervene with their continued engagement in the community?  Will it also ignore their alias handles?

The report a post function, I assume that is just a train wreck alert to mods correct?

Not to try to start a fight with you F69 but why does this board have to reflect life? I thought that this was all about our fantasies and fun. Yes of course there are going to be those who desire the drama of causing issues but what is wrong with being nice and why is it a bandaid?
As for fixing what is broken, I think the board has been broken. I see it now on the mend. Sometimes it will hurt when healing a wound but eventually it can get back to a healthy state.
I say give it a try before just writing it off as a mistake.

Not in an argumentative way, I just hate stifling of speach or thought in the guise
of civility.  I am not concerned with the so called alias problem,  most people i know know my alias's
and I really don't care how people post, just so long as they do either on a discussion board or
on the review boards.

Maybe these changes will be great, but I do not see how?

I don't see how this can lead to a better board. I hope I'm wrong. But telling adults on a hobby board not to use profanity just seems weird. And having a different host and hostess every month ... how does that lead to continuity? Every one has different personas, different opinions and different ideas.

Again, I hope I'm wrong but I am also at a loss as to how this is going to make the board better.

I do not have to accept your opinions any more then you do mine.
Maybe at first there may be more participation ( i doubt it) but in the
end people will be bored when this becomes a place to sneak in extra
provider ads and shills.  Why did you attach a link to your website if
you want to be taken seriously?  I am not hating just curious.

I think the greater threat to TER is not people becoming bored but when some take things personally, make unfounded assumptions, and harbor misonceptions. What makes you think that her attaching a link to her website precludes her wanting to be taken seriously? TER rules permit her to include her personal site link.

Its a silly idea but Im ok with it either way.. Hostess, Host, Mods or not..

What I do see.. Is now we are being forced to accept into our fold people that are not of like mind.. Which is what I thought this board was for is people of like mind.  We are a buncha crazy fucks.. WE know it but.. Thats what we choose is this crazy life style and the drama that it enevitablty brings. Sex is personal.. Its just the way that it is...

The Real Problem that I see is Now we this crazy group is being FORCED into accepting people into our community that are not of like mind and en masse the group doesnt like. I see 2hot4u2 is back.. what a horrid time we had with him on the board.. He leaves thankfully... Or just lurks obviously... Now we are being forced to accept mhsex...
Both of them have horrific posting history and are unnamously disliked on this board also on the general board. So they start writing letters complaining that we didnt accept them into the fold. So now we are Forced to be into accepting these individuals?

Im trying to get everyone here .. Hopefully on the general board too.. is that we Must as a group ignore these individuals in the hopes that they leave.

Im all for being nice to newbies and accepting them into our fold, new blood is always good! We here have welcomed many :) daily.. Its just the obnoxiously overbearing posters... why do we have to accept them? In the last year lets say.. I see posting here at least15 new names that were accepted and are valuable members.. so dont let mhsex make it out that we reject ALL new folks.. Because that is so not true! We Do accept all the time new folks here all the time  :)  We just dont accept people that truly have zero to contribute as they dont review. have no white list because there isnt a lady saying she saw him... that over posts his opinion on every thread....  So yes He was rejected. That kind of new blood we dont need. Those are the people that whine the loudest to you! "boo hoo they were mean to me :(" They dont like new people.." its so blatantly untrue! We dont accept jurks! This board is like that drop dead gorgeous yet unapprachable babe across the room... Approach correctly and she wraps her arms around you... Approach like a bull in a china shop and.......get stomped upon.
Now hes got sooooo much gas in his tank hes walking on air to know that he basicly has forced this upon us.. And with lies...I somehow think he has convinced yall that we treat everyone this way.. so not true, because we accept newbies all the time! Of course some improvements can always be made.. Like in the ISO posts n stuff.. OK then Alias's...  As long as theres alias's there will be people that use them the wrong way. IF the drama is too much for the mods.. then take that feature away or make a PM envelope available so that we can send messages to it....Somehow taking that one layer off the anonymity... might help..?

So anyway to wrap my wandering thoughts up... I Hope that everyone writes through the contact us button..That His idea could stay Im ok with it either way... I just want admin to know that we are nice and do accept new people... we just dont accept him...
So please write, all those that want managment to know that we are accepting of newbies maybe some newbies should write and say how they were accepted into the community..and please yall ignore every post those 2 make... Hopefully they will go away.

I do have one more question about the use of profanity. Does this mean there will be absolutely no cursing at all? This may seem like a strange question but as most of you know I dont exactly have the mouth of a virgin! lol I like to use the words F&%#K and P&%#Y among others. I do it here and in the bedroom when talking about/doing things of a sexual nature. OR does this just mean no name calling?
If it is to stop the name calling then I am good with that! Although I am not sure how that will go when so many adults on an adult forum cant say those words on a F&%#K board. Not sure about everyone elso but I do cuss like a sailor sometime lol!

...I personally will have no reason to use this board anymore. Not a threat, just a fact. It's a safety issue on both sides of the men and women here. Weeding out the idiots so we're not subjected to a bunch of backpage level non-sense is the one thing that the board truly contributes to the community as a whole.

Turning this into Facebook will not make it more user friendly for everyone. Accountability and taking away alias priveledges will. The same idiots crying about not being treated well are the same 2 that are doing the most harassing, damage, and stalking. The fact that the whole board gets changed because a few of the people are upset cause they're not liked is ass-backwards.

The great irony is the one's doing the crying and pushed to have the board are the exact ones everyone will block the most. Then what? The one thing you know will make this a better envirement for everyone the minute its implemented is the one thing you won't do and that's ban alias use. Instead, you'd rather make everyone run in circles just to get back to square one.

That makes a lot of sense....

Other than ECCI, there really is no viable option in Atlanta.  Now I know you are connected enough with indies and agencies that you can go awhile without the board, but you are a good contributor and leaving only let's them win.

The ladies are organizing a pretty good boycott of the miscreants.  The ignore post has good potential to isolate them as well.  I honestly think the like-dislike flag can help people avoid train wrecks as well.

Like you told me months ago, when you give up, the rodents win.  The admin group has missed the true right answer in many people's opinion, but they are taking action, more than what they were doing before.  The best way to cure vermin problems is to fight more aggressively in the breeding grounds then they do.

I hope you reconsider, but I really do understand.  I often step away from board when I get tired of the nonsense,   But you need to find away to recharge and fight the fight that needs fighting

Maybe they should institute a policy of flipping alias's that start shite... I would have no problem with that.. say if 10 people report a nasty post made by an alias... That constitutes a flipping.. Or something of that nature...

Maybe they will think twice about posting that crap if they know it can and will be flipped if they anger enough people. Alias's serve a purpose and can be hystericly funny :) if used properly.

It's unreasonable to expect to restrict the use of aliases. If one permits them and the cloak of privacy and anonymity that it provides, then one should accept them regardless if they are used for good or bad. Such are the nature of aliases (a fact that some TER members and mods seemed to have forgotten).
