Question to Providers and Hobbiests

I have had this topic come up quite a few time with different providers I have talked to.

A provider has her hourly rate, be it whatever the amount.

Question: Does the hobbiest feel that for the hourly rate paid that this entitles him more time than the agreed upon hour? If he stays over some does he at least leave a generous tip? If not given this extra time does he then complain the provider has rushed sessions?

From what I am hearing of some experiences the hobbiest pays the donation for the hour session but then does not leave when the hour is up, does not tip for extra time either. Do many do this? And it it right?

It would be in poor taste to stay for more than the time you have booked. The one exception is if the provider offers you an extended stay or tells you not to worry about the clock. Remember, we guys don't like to be rushed out the door prior to the time allotted, so we should be sure to exercise the same courtesy.

While I respect your veiws, I don't wholeheartedly agree with a few of your points. I feel that the time payed for begins when you walk in the door and ends when you walk out. Showers are using our time, hot water towels ect. If you've used up your hour, then need a shower after, then maybe a tip is in order? If you know your going to need more than 60 min to finish that second cup, then book a two hour session or an hour and  half session to leave room to get cleaned up and say goodbye. Although we enjoy your company thouroughly, our time is precious to :)

You are in a business.  Every business has a product they sell.  If you have a product someone could buy everywhere, what will motivate someone to buy from you.  Not everyone buys things for the same reason.  I am inclined to buy something when someone makes it easy and I think there's good value.

In your business, people have alot of options.  I would think the best way to grow your business would be to give every customer a reason to come back.  What are the reasons people come back?  Some people come back because you gave them undivided attention, the sex was great, you made them feel young again, or the appointment was supposed to be for an hour, but you let it go over because you were having a good time.

As you know, men are driven by their you know whats!  You can say there will always be a demand.  Some people think lower their price will generate more business.  While that might work in the short term, people who are motivated by price only are typically cheap, unloyal, and will drop you like a hot potato when the next person lowers their price.

Look at the reviews, woman who are perceived as clock watchers are often given bad reviews.  It's your choice.  The more you give, the more you get.

By the way, this formula has gotten many people rich.  In my business, we don't have to advertise any more because our repeat business is so strong.  We are also not by any means the cheapest guys in our industry.

If some of these things bother you, why don't you disclose to your customers beforehand that this is an hour appointment.  Tell them you won't watch the clock, but our session will end in an hour unless you'd like to extend it at an extra cost.  You're welcome to shower, but the clock starts before the shower.  When their time is up, give them an option to continue.

If you did this, you'll get the real feedback on how your customers feel about it.

That's one reason I will probably now never see you.  I takes me about 8 hours of work to afford a session but you are only concerned with your time.  If you are that strict there are much better services out there for the same price.

I started this topic, because it has been discussed by quite a few providers I have talked to. It is not just nessesarily how I am feeling that sparked this topic, it was more of a curiousity of how others felt that I hadn't head from on the subject. Personally I am not a clock watcher and never schedule more than 2 sessions in one day so they are not rushed.

mikeycan,
you are on target man.

On the same subject, had sessions (tried probabbly may be better word) some providers that was worse than a disaster. As hobbysts, we cannot get the Money Back either.

The reality is there are only few good providers out there. I  mean actually deliver as advertised and a pleasure to be with them. We all know who they are. Like mikey said, you got to make a decision as to how you want to run your business, no one else can.

To be honest some $300/hr providers are not worth it and some are. More enticing the ad, delivery is going to be less likely. Pattern analysis my friends!
