Planning a trip to Vietnam next year.  It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of good places for hobbying.  

Am I wrong?  Any recommendations?

Not sure where  you're staying.  But if you stay in Saigon, prostitution is big business over there.  You can guess it by rows upon rows of hourly hotels everywhere you go.

Local pros run around $25/shot for locals.  They don't speak English, only take in Vietnamese customer, some of them don't allow kissing, FIV, and most don't shave

For foreigners, it's upward to $100/shot.  You best bet is the bars in district 5 or Pham Ngu Lao Street.  Many girls line up in the bar.  Just get them a drink and start negotiation.  Some of the girls even frequent hotel bars, so you may get some right where you live, lol

There are also high end service that I've only heard about, have never been able to break into it.

This one is a strange fruit. I haven't been in the southern part, so cannot talk about it. I can tell you that Hanoi does have some action going on. The thing is I have not seen any girl on the streets, at least in the center of the city, even though you will find if you search a little. So don't expect a Bangkok type of atmosphere.  

There are a couple of places in the old quarter where you can get what you are looking for, if you are willing to climb some stairs and end up on a massage table. You will find more action outside of the center of Hanoi, but that becomes a bit more difficult because of the distances. We are after all talking about a 7 million people city... So it is spread.  

Besides the massage tables, you can also try your luck at a couple of hotels located 20 minutes away from the center. These hotels are real hotels with a floor reserved to meet girls.  

Finally, I would maybe try free lancers. That is I think the best option if you stay there several days. There are several places where you can go in, have a drink and get acquainted with the girl you feel attracted to. No pressure, no intimidation.

I must add that I never felt at risk while in Hanoi. That said, caution is always your best friend, and trust your intuition; if you feel something isn't right, back off and find safe haven.

I partook in Saigon, and a town about 60km from the Cambodian border. I had the good fortune to go with someone who spoke the language, and that made things much easier. I'd stick with Saigon. There is a casino across the street from The New World Hotel in District 1 that has a bar attached to it. They have a ton of attractive ladies, some speak basic English. The Sheraton, also in District 1 has a bar in the top floor that is frequented by ladies. The deal with any hugh end hotel, is that you cannot take a lady back to your room. They know of hourly hotels though. DO NOT pick up anyone from the street or let a cab driver set you up.You'll likely end up in a remote alley much worse for wear if you do. Have fun, use your big head.

I'll be in HaiPhong--looks like good access to Hanoi, correct?  Not sure I'll get to Saigon.

If I go travel in Vietnam, I will choose Saigon! Delicious food, diversity. Not so sure about the providers, I think there is a website in Vietnamese called danchoi.com (?!). The girls look attractive but I don't think they speak
