I've recently read a little bit about the scene in Jakarta, Indonesia and I have to say it sounds pretty tempting - the pictures of the women are pretty good and it's apparently really inexpensive.  Has anybody been there?  I'm curious how it compares to, say, Bangkok.

I have no direct knowledge of Indonesia, and it's pretty low on my list. It's a Muslim country with an active extremist element that frowns on western ways. Remember the Bali nightclub bombing that killed hundreds of partygoers. Sex may be present, but I would regard it as risky. Bangkok is a much better alternative, assuming the current political situation gets resolved.

I have talked a few hobbyist about the mongering scene there.  It is supposed to be very good.  They did not seem to think it was super un-safe.    

I was in Jakarta for a layover last year.  I never got to check out the night life, but the traffic was extremely bad just to drive around,  so planning is important.   I am hoping to go back next year.  

I have been to Bali and West Pappua and have been very lucky to find some great action.  I had to work really hard for to find it.  Most of the girls that work in the bars  migrate from Java.  I think Javanese girls are very attractive.  I think they are more attractive than Thai girls, although the indo girls seem to be a little more temperamental and bitchy than the Thai girls.   Oh, they really take advantage of the tourists.  I could not believe how much they charged me for overnights.  it was more expensive than Thailand.  I think i paid $200 for overnights.  Sex was great though and they were good about banging multiple, multiple times. .  

If you are not adventurous, then stick to Bangkok.

Javanese girls are much prettier than Thai.  Mostly the Thai pug nose that I object to.  Petty, I know, but face is important to me, too.

Go to any US hotel bar and you take your pick. Very vibrant scene almost like Bangok, Kulampur, Singapore, etc.

 

I spent six years as an expat in Hong Kong and regularly flew down to Jakarta for long weekends.  Arguably the best night-life in Asia.  Highly recommended.
