I stayed in the Hotel Metropark Wan Chai a few years ago on the recommendation of an old H.K. hand on this board (Steve), and it was fantastic. Right in the middle of a lot of action and, as Steve and others said, very open to taking women in (the lobby is pretty small, so you have to walk right by the front desk with a lady, or, if she is coming up to your room, she has to check in at the desk first).
At any rate, I'm returning to H.K. in January and notice that this hotel is now under new ownership/management, as the "Kew Green Hotel." What I'm wondering is if the new management is still friendly as described above, or if policies have changed. If the latter, any other recommendations for a good hotel in H.K. for a hobbyist? Thanks! oldguy
Hi, I used to go to Metropark Wan Chai because of the same reasons, but I switched to Metropark Causeway Bay hotel. The rooms are bigger and nicer. I had a great room with a panoramic view of Victoria Harbor. the hotel has a rooftop swimming pool. The hotel is closer to nicer stores and restaurants and the metrostation . Wan Chai is only a couple stops away by subway or like a 5 minute taxi ride away. It is also closer to the Fuji building where the one woman brothels are located. Taking companions to your room is no problem.
