History in the making visuals and stories we all remember and I tried to remember where I was at that time. Who remembers looking at a black and white TV picture in amazement ? I guess that dates us somewhat.
IN 1954 my parents won a 19 inch emerson TV in a raffle held by the local A & P. I held on to it until the early 90's when I threw it out cause I moved to jersey
I remember our house being full of neighbors who came to watch with us. We weren't the first on the block to have a color TV but our house and yard was always full of kids playing and my parents welcomed everyone in. I was so excited when dad brought that TV set home and told everyone who would listen.
First color TV was bought by my parents in 1968. Just in time to see the first moon landing...in color. In Atlanta there were Channels 2, 5, 11, and Ted Turner hadn't bought channel 17 yet but channel 17 was around.
