The first experience was quite devine by my standards then, though today it would only get a 7/7 at best.

I'm not sure that I would do anything that much differently, except maybe started even earlier.

The two biggest changes in the hobby have been the internet and the cell phone.  They have really taken down the barriers.

I first started lurking on TER in 2003, and became a member in 2005.

It would be wrong to think that our sexy seniors have longeivity in the hobby.  I know I have many clients who have not been hobbying for that long, while others talk about finding ladies in the classified section of the newspaper before the internet.....

an infrequnet hobbyist (I prefer John), I have been pleasantly surprised with the results of using TER and have had mostly very good to excellent experiences...

A). How long have you been hobbying?  A little over two years although I was considering it for quite some time. I needed something physical that I wasn't getting within a sexless marriage which, except for that is wonderful in every way.
B). What was your first experience like?  First BJ of my life - very exciting and eye opening! How did you find her? On a now defunct list called ASPD.  Were your expectations met?  I was very nervous and honestly did not know what to expect. After climaxing relatively quickly CIM (a term I didn't even know then), I couldn't get it up again
C). What would you do different now that you have more experience?  I have learned to focus in more on what I would like to get out of a hobby date and it's much more than out of this world sex! Once I was in the door in the hobby with references, I also joined perf4111 and that  enabled me to see other women more easily and begin to discriminate more in my  choice of women whom I felt could best fulfill my needs.
D). How has the hobby changed?  Don't know enough to answer. I can only relate to how I have changed. I have discovered that the best sex is with women that I have been able to esablish a relationship with before the date and genuinely like as a person. and feel that it is being reciprocated. (Calling it GFE is too simple a term to express something that is significanly more profound. I have discovered women who are genuine, warm, loving and caring in additon to being great lovers. By the same token, I have also been able to differentiate between "friendship" in a client-provider context and friendships in the civie world)
E).  When did you discover TER and the reviews?  Shortly after I began to hobby. My first review got me free VIP and I discovered what a valuable resource this site is.

about 4 years ago i gave it another try.

B.

the first experience 40 years ago was in LV on the strip. i was approached by a SW on the strip agreed on price. she drove me back to where i was staying (the passenger side door was disabled so i couldn't just get out... nice touch! LOL!). she delivered a very efficient nasty brutish and short pop and she was quickly on her way.

the seccond experience was through lurking on TER which i found by accident from several ads. i had looked at ads and had about a half dozen candidates in mind. one, a favorite now retired, had a link to TER. i discvered that one of the six was "not honest". so asked to meet someone who was quite seductive and kind about putting me at ease. although i was too nervous to complete i felt very, very good and repeat visits were happy occasions.

i have become a little more cautious about revealing personal details. i have found that some providers are wonderful folks and am friends with a few faves. i am much more careful about dealing with ladies who are "all about the money" and who will play you emotionally in order to increase their profit. i prefer to repeat. so i need to be sure that the lady has good business ethics.

What was your first experience like?  I was propositioned on a bar off Rush street after too many beers, off to an alley, pants to my ankles, two big guys came to relieve me…. of my wallet.  A pal in the CPD watched me head into the alley while on patrol.  He brought his partner a wonderful German shepherd in to watch the excitement.  Honest by then I was not too excited, but very anxious.  His dog seems to have been a real kill joy as the other three left very quickly.

LOL.....I guess technically that's true. My first experience was in Japan in 1967 during R&R from Vietnam. Spent two (2) days with this delightful Japanese girl. Being 19 at the time I didn't understand the significance of her feeding me oysters at almost every meal!

Back home in Boston - this is during the 70's and early 80's there was the "Combat Zone" downtown....a very exciting but very dangerous place. Once I discovered the "Massage and Escort" section of the Boston Phoenix newspaper that was all I used. Met some lovely ladies via the Phoenix. I think the best was a service ran by a lady named Sheila - she had a couple of apartments by the waterfront. Her ladies were all students, nurses, or some other profession. They were all gorgeous. There was a set fee - expensive at the time - but no real time limit set. If the lady enjoyed your company (and activities) you might end up spending the night with her....sometimes back at her place. And of course, this was before AIDS so everything was uncovered.

Obviously by the mid 80's everything changed with the appearance of AIDS. I was married by then and had stopped participating in the hobby. By the mid 90's I was missing the extracurricular activities. It was either late 99 or early 2000 that I discovered Internet resources such as TER and other boards. And here I am. Now in my early 60's and still enthralled by beautiful women. I think I am much more relaxed about the whole thing. In my teens and twenties it was all about my pleasure. As I have aged I have discovered that 99% of my pleasure is received from the pleasure I give to my playmate. I have also found that I prefer women who are over 30. I enjoy the confidence a mature woman exudes - I find it extremely sexy.

So....that is a tiny bit of my story.

fair enough .....I have been provideing almost a decade started first with massage 2yrs then evolved into escorting after I felt more at ease .....I was back in school to learn a new trade  and met a girl that told me about escosting she was very beautiful and my age ......it sounded very glamerous and exciting and being single thought why not......not sure I would do anything different as it has been quite fun and very rewarding....the only difference for me is its slowing down due to the the state of affairs guys just have less money to spend these days......The clients have always remained the same  delightful  for the most part......Ter  found me  I woke up one day to find someone had reviewed me at first it scared me then I found it it was a good  thing and took  to it like a duck to water,,,,,,and the rest is history !

B) Having a high sex drive, I was a swinger.  Through my circle of friends in the swinging community, I heard of other swingers who became providers.  Some have retired, others like the infamous Bebedoll, are still around.  Wanting to get out of corporate life and have more time for my family (kids who are now grown and mother with Alzheimers) I came to realize that I could turn my hobby into a business and have flexibility to work around my family commitments.  So I put up a one page mini site on a escort mall and waited.

My first experience was exciting, scary and not what I expected.   Scary because of the risks.  A girlfriend who was a real computer pro, verified the gent who booked a multi-hour appointment and explained what a GFE was.  It was exciting because it was more incredible than meeting someone through swinging and then playing.  I had no idea what he would be like.  I only had a name and bits of info about him.  Not what I expected as I did not expect the absolute kindness and the lengths he went to make it memorable; a bottle of wine, soft music and candlelight at his hotel.  A bubble bath was drawn and waiting and he gently and sensuously washed me, dried me and then seduced me.  He took care of my first O before we moved to other activities and mutual gratification.

C) What I would have done different was to seek out more info. I would have joined Room Service 2000 earlier.  I would have found TER earlier.  I learned about room service from a client who offered it up as screening.  I asked "what, you want me to call your hotel and see what you had for dinner?". He gave me their site and I placed a call and they verified him for me as a courtesy.  I called them the next day to join.  I learned about TER from a guy who kept asking if I had reviews. I knew nothing of reviews.  He was a room service member and called them.  Since they verified me through the member who referred me, who said great things about me, they were able to relay that.  Sometime later I got my first review and joined TER to read it

D) How has the hobby changed.  Its expanding at an ever increasing speed.  End demand groups are targeting hobbyists, and influencing LE to conduct more stings aimed at scaring hobbyists away.  Trafficking is a major issue.  However, when these stings are conducted, they throw out their nets (looking for Dolphin) and catching a few Tuna.  Then publicize the Tuna who are netted.  How else do you explain their setting up ladies who are obviously in their 30s, 40s and older.  If they actually used the dollars allocated for the prevention of trafficking on preventing trafficking, more underage children would saved.  Sorry off my soapbox.  

The clientele are more educated.  There is some degree of ageism associated with the hobby.  Many older men prefer women in their 20s and 30s or ones who look barely legal.  Lets face it, the standard definition of beauty is associated with young, waif like with or without implants.  However, many older hobbyiests have come full circle and are looking for women who are mature, who can relate to their experiences so that when you talk about when Kennedy died, they don't say that plane crashes are tragic, when you talk about the accident on Apollo 13 they don't ask if the astronauts lived and they remember actually using an 8 track and thinking that it was amazing technology.  

Clients have so many more choices now a days.  Money is tighter.  However, if you provide consistent levels of service, you have repeat clients and attract new ones.  Having 36GGs does not hurt either!!!  *wink*

E) I mentioned that I joined TER after my first review.  A client notified me that he posted one.

A.  I am 71 and started hobbying at age 15.  Although, at that time, we just called it getting laid.  $20 was a big deal in those days, and you can imagine what that bought you.  

B.  My first experience---  I have trouble remembering my last experience!!!

C.  With the experience I now have, I would have been far more discriminating in my choice of providers.  In retrospect, I took far more risks than I should have.  I feel quite fortunate that I survived my early years.

D.  The changes in the hobby have been quite dramatic.  Prior to the interrnet, unless you could afford high end escort services, your choices were either street walkers or hotel bar girls.  The internet, combined with the privacy of cellphones, has been nothing short of a revolution.  It is so much easier today to find providers who meet your needs.  The past ten years have been the golden period for me.  Also, I can't minimize the role that ED drugs have played in allowing me to remain quite active.  I confine my activity to mature, thoughtful women, since I value companionship on par with the sex.  I have met some really fascinating ladies who have become friends.

E.  I have been a member of TER since 2003.

I have had to cut back to once or twice a week!!!  My mantra is to take advantage of whatever time I have remaining.  Fortunately, I enjoy giving pleasure as much as receiving it.

A.  Going on 6 years.  I waited until I retired because of the fear of losing my job and pension if I got busted.
B.  First experience, very nervous.  When it came time for the main event, I wilted.  Had to finish off with HJ/BJ, never penetrated her.  She was a local hot young provider, don't remember how I chose her.  Yes, she was all I expected.
C.  I would not change anything.

I haven't been in the hobby very long.

A) since 2009
B) My first experience was with an agency provider. She was well reviewed. I didn't have VIP status on TER at the time. I relied on communicating with her by PM through the agency, her reviews on the agency message board, and on agency PM recommendations of other guys that had seen her. She has since gone independent and is well known and reviewed. She provided an excellent GFE exceeding all my expectations. I have seen her several times as an indie.
C) I wouldn't do anything differently. I had taken my time to check things out before I took the plunge. I was a TER member (just not VIP). I had read about how to do things.
D) Not much has changed in that short a time.
E) I was informed by a friend about the Agency I used and TER about six months before my first experience.

A) 46 years off and on.
B) Lost virginity at 18 to a provider hanging out a Soho London window, at the time my expectations were met but looking back it was not at all like anything today.
C) Well if I was looking to have a first experience now I would get a well reviewed mature provider to spend several hours with.
D) Up until the internet and TER every experience was very hit or miss. Had some great ladies and lots of rip offs, more rip offs then great ladies. Now the ratio has drastically changed, lots of great ladies, a few not so great and only 1 semi rip off in the last 4 years.

Massage and a happy ending was the bill of fare. In my opinion, the hobby has changed because of the way it's marketed, the way it's viewed by the general populace, and the access that people have to it now. I discovered TER in 2010. I used Eros for my Atlanta encounters and saw one lady who referred to TER for her reviews.
